  1. You can't. Unless you're totally awesome and give each member of the Team 'special favours'. Not sure I'll ever get that taste out of my mouth tbh.
  2. Right, gotcha. Sorry. True point, but they're aiming for the same target both times i.e. torso.
  3. Because that wouldn't encourage more attacks at all, would it? You do realise that sinking to their level makes us no better, right? Try again? Or just do a normal post, I'll assume it was a reply to my comment
  4. Which would be wholly inappropriate in cases like last night. Plastic rounds are crowd control, not for stopping murderers.
  5. I'd be more worried about Abbott being Home Secretary and McDonnell being Chancellor.
  6. The only thing you need on a track is a helmet. Everything else is a nice to have. I don't wear harnesses in a track car because they make me feel safe, I wear them because it lets me connect with the chassis much better. I wear gloves so my hands don't slip, and I wear boots so I get better feel from the pedals.
  7. You'll be in Bleu Nord mate, unless you get lost and lose us
  8. Because that wouldn't encourage more attacks at all, would it? You do realise that sinking to their level makes us no better, right?
  9. Exactly: It's always shoot to stop, every time. You're trying to neutralise as quickly as possible, and a bullet is a tiny object to aim at anything in the first place.
  10. Some cretinous calls on Twitter to postpone the election. Numbskulls.
  11. 8 mins between first 999 call to poppin' caps in terrorists. Impressive from our police force, and other emergency services.
  12. I still say nonsense If the car rolls and your head is put under pressure, then you're not walking away regardless of whether your body has anywhere to go or not. Which it doesn't, because your arse cannot sink any further into the seat in lapbelts or harnesses. If you're going to get squished, you're going to get squished: How you're held in matters not a jot.
  13. Bought my front lip from there, they were very helpful and the fit was perfect albeit as above it's not made by them and I'd done my homework on the brand first. What did they say when you rang them?
  14. I'd be amazed if there was no failsafe built in.
  15. I agree, I don't think we'd ever fire first either. Even if you knew 100% the other side were about to fire, you'd use conventional weapons first. I think the only time we'd fire would be if we didn't think we could realistically contain multiple launches. I'd love to know the different PM's orders across the years re the letter in each Trident sub, I really would.
  16. People who blank out numberplates on the internet are weird full stop
  17. Which they won't, simply because it costs a lot of money to force a courtcase through and takes years to do as the paperwork involved is ridiculously complex. They'll carry on hammering the little guy, which means a much smaller return in tax and less money to spend on wages and staff. A better idea is not to promise a world you cannot deliver, ever. May, just maybe if Labour were focusing on one thing to improve I might believe them, but they're filling the room with promises they cannot hope to ever keep. Sadly there are a lot of gullible fools out there falling for it (not you fella, nor any of the other Labour supporters on this thread I hasten to add! I'm talking about the social media flops, who see a headline like £350M to the NHS and believe it instantly). I heard on the news this morning another reference to the £80K income tax increase, which still makes no sense to me. JC bangs on about it being fair that the wealthy pay more, but how is it fair that a couple where one earns £80K and one looks after the kids at home get hit, but a couple earning £60K each and paying a babysitter don't get touched at all? I appreciate we're talking about fractions of the population (which in turn means tax revenue increase will be minimal), but in no way is that fair at all. I'm still irritated that the £80k just happens to be above the amount that MPS earn as a salary too, and how it's impossible for any other party to point that out for fear of further pushing away the electorate via the world of spin. On a side note, I dreamt I met JC last night, and had a quick chat with Ken Clarke afterwards. Must lay off the cheese before bedtime, methinks.
  18. Nonsense, IMHO. If you're in a seat with belts and it rolls, you are much much more likely to be mobile within the seat/belt, just like you are able to move much easier to reach the stereo etc than whilst wearing harnesses. As GMB says, if that's the case you've no chance of doing anything remotely consciously other than perhaps saying a quick prayer to the deity of your choice. Harnesses will keep you lower in the car and further away from the roof assuming you've got the seat position correct, which is arguably much more important.
  19. Do you think in just five years that hike will make as much difference as promised?
  20. Soz, only just got back in from holiday! Looking at the hard numbers there, you'd be mad to not go for the MPS4S. Well within tolerance, better than the other two options, that's what I'd go for in your shoes.
  21. Porsche gave me a very decent trade in on mine, but remember if trading it in it's about the overall deal: So they may give you £5k for the car but then knock £5k off your purchase, which may be a better deal than walking in with cash deposit. Or may not, but worth bearing in mind rather than just getting sucked in by OMFG THEY ONLY GAVE ME £2.76 FOR MY CARZORZ!!!11 Apologies for the lecture on egg tasting, but not everyone looks at car buying as the cost to change, which is the important bit
  22. If Labour win, I bet we see very few if any protests. If the Tories do, I bet we get a ton of them along with social media flooded with negativity. Much like it is right now, tbh. If Labour win, I'll have nothing but respect for the campaign they ran. I'll disagree with most of it, but I certainly respect the genius way everything has been handled since they got screwed in the local elections. I'll also be here in five years to tell you that I told you nothing will have changed at all Here's another interesting thought: If Labour do not win, despite an excellent campaign, just how monumentally screwed are they?

As oft-quoted as that is, I tend to agree with it whole heartedly.
