  1. What makes me laugh is that we're all sitting here having a jokey console war, and there's kids out there right now having serious ones over the Xbone and PS4
  2. Just imagine how much more love there could be had you picked the better console
  3. Truth hurts bro. Genuinely can't believe there's still people out there that thing the MD was better than the SNES. Do you all believe the moon landings were faked too? MD had better game boxes, purely because plastic over cardboard. There.
  4. Nah, it wouldn't make any extra difference at all really, or none that you'd actually notice to the extent of making the cost worth it.
  5. Filthy n00b! It was the first 32bit home console, basically a huge adaptor you stuck in the top of your Megadrive/Genesis and ran specific 32bit carts. A true Sega fan would know this
  6. It won't need remapping, but you'd crazy to fit a plenum spacer and not get it remapped.
  7. This is what worries me. Are you 100% sure you didn't sign a form when you picked up the courtesy car? And if you did, are you sure it doesn't say that you accept liability for the costs? Ignoring all that, you have a legal responsibility to minimise costs anyway, so if it's not sorted soon you need to be looking to get a cheaper loaner. Still via the AMC, but you do have to do it or this is going to come back and bite you. Plus there's the moral side of it, by increasing costs all you do is push up everyone else's insurance (including your own) too.
  8. Star Wars was ace, but b*stard hard. I really struggle with that, even today.
  9. We did, and it made a huge difference to our mortgage. Meant I had less spare cash to spend on huge TVs and big stereos... I mean, carpets and dishwashers, but long term it was the right move.
  10. Ooh Micro Machines, good call! I loved that so much, that 4p cart was genius. Virtua Racing was a bit guff though, plus £70 for it which is £130 in today's money. Scary stuff. I still play SOR too
  11. Really? Ouch. That's pretty damning.
  12. MD was crap compared to the SNES. SMW was better than all the Sonics Zelda better than all the Phantasy Stars SMK better than... Well, did the MD have any exclusive racers? SNES also had F-Zero too. It had the definitive versions of SF2, which was THE series to have back then. However, in deference to the MD (as I did have both) it did do FIFA better, and of course it had the SOR series which was immense. I do enjoy my MD (playing Desert Strike on that feels more right than on the SNES), but in every area that matters the SNES was better. N64 was part of the 5th gen of consoles, so up against the PS. Not a winner there, deffo.
  13. LHD only, RB-style arch cuts and a cheese-grater front bumper... Oh god no. Right idea, but falls short of anything I'd be seriously interested in.
  14. If only we had a games thread where this was mentioned yesterday morning... Can't seem them doing an N64, the cost of the controllers will be significantly more plus you'll never get Goldeneye due to licensing issues (it's why we've never had a remastered or re-released copy, even on Virtual Console).
  15. Did your insurer sort out the courtesy car for you? What I'm getting at here is that if you signed up for it yourself using an AMC, then technically you're on the hook for the hire cost which I imagine is not going to be cheap. Insurance is about mitigating losses, and whilst having that on hire for a couple of weeks probably isn't going to cause anyone to bat an eyelid and the expense will no doubt be paid by the TP insurer, if it carries on any longer then you're going to want to swap that for something significantly cheaper to hire. Otherwise you run the very real risk of being on the hook for the bill. Of course, ignore all that if your insurer is supplying and you've not signed the usual agreement that AMCs make you sign.
  16. Not unless you're adding bags and bags of it and you're intending on wind tunnel tuning it, not really. Might add another 20kg at 100mph, but that won't be much use in the low speed corners at all. Aero on road cars (assuming you're keeping it road legal) is more about reducing lift than adding downforce.
  17. If you're going lighter, you won't want the stiffer springs as you'll have less mass to move around. 14/6 will be fine.

I used to use nitrogen too, only benefit I found was more stable pressures over a longer time i.e. no need to top up after 3 months. Other than that, the tyres felt the same. I don't bother now, extra cost isn't worth it given that boggo air is 78% nitrogen anyway. Do keep us updated on the tyres, I'm not a million miles away from changing to MPS4 now either.
  20. Welcome to 11:46am this morning, ten posts above you
  21. Custard donuts are good, but apple ones are even better,
  22. Garage measurement is vital, and not only with current cars: Think 10 years in the future how big a standard Focus or 3er might be then, personally I would never buy a house that didn't have the width on the garage for a car but that's just me. Many people don't care any more because most new builds undersize the door opening sadly. +1 on local solicitor, and I do mean local. It's critical to have someone you can go and shout at when things are held up (and they will be), even if it costs you £500 more it will always be worth it. Always.
  23. Get it from the Somalians, I hear they're good at piracy
