    Project Mu parts?

I've not tried those ones specifically so cannot comment on effectiveness, but I'd be happy enough to give them a go I think. Plus JDM points!

    Project Mu parts?

Depends on the usage, what ones are you looking at specifically?

    Project Mu parts?

Excellent brand, they do some superb quality stuff however you really, really do pay for it. That said, it's very JDM so you're also paying for the cool factor partially. Personally I'd get something just as good but not as cool for less. PF or DBA would get my money over them.
  5. That's a ceramic disc, which as you know is a completely different kettle of fish. It's like comparing a 4 stroke to a rotary: Both engines, both provide power, but are very different animals. The original PCCBs weren't great, true, but it was a tiny percentage. Ultimately anything can fail, regardless of cost, but I'm not sure that helps your point at all. And the trouble with being wrong about one thing which you speak definitively, is that is then weakens your credibility.

Maybe post the plate up, would be easier for people to identify.
  7. Japfest, being a complete balls up? Well, who'd have thought it?!
  8. You can't use PB any more, unless you pay $399 for it. This is why the forum upgrade was pushed through a bit sooner Basically you'll have to re-up them elsewhere.
  9. So '06 Revup with 90k on the clock, are there none on AT or PH that come close to that so you could take a guess at a price yourself? What would you be happy with? I don't get how people cannot price stuff up for themselves, I really can't. Since I'm in a good mood tonight, I'll say £6k.
  10. Complete and utter bobbins. http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/pt66_202_-cma81-cmo539-ct541/Porsche/997-MKII--911--2009--/997-MKII--911--Carrera-S-2009--/Brake-Disc-Standard/ Fronts on a 997.2 C2S are £168.18 per corner for the disc, assuming you want the nice shiny Porsche ones. Rears are £151.83. OEM pads are £213 per axle. Hardly £1K per corner! Not forgetting that, much like Nissan, you'd never buy OEM when you can get an identical pad (as in made on the exact same line and just not stamped with the Porsche part number) for half the cost. My 911 was much cheaper on consumables than my 350Z was, barring oil at a service simply because it needed twice as much Also, they don't crack often at all. What does happen is that the drilled holes become full of brake dust, and you need to drill them out, but then that happens with every single drilled disc in the world ever.

  12. Definitely not! I'd be taking the wheel off and checking the electrical connections as a starter.
  13. I'm guessing he means the fuel dampers.
  14. No rush, just playing with stuff. FYI I tried to load a file direct from my PC to see what would happen, it was 1.82MB in size if that matters.
  15. With regards to file uploads, am I right in thinking that the user has to manually edit the file size before they can upload? Looks like the forum will resize as it sees fit in terms of resolution, but it won't alter the actual size in MB/KB/Kb of the picture. Not a complaint, more an observation to make sure I understand it correctly.
  16. Any way to view all members? I can see the option to view online members, but not all.

  20. It's all glued ally and stuff. Once buckled or torn you can never repair it back to original strength like a steel one.

Can you imagine?! It'd be like giving a fat kid a room full of Maltesers and expecting him not to eat any: I'd be deleting stuff all over the place!
  22. Exactly. Plus you need a brand new chassis, which is much like the Elise's in construction, and once that's gone it's gone. No chance in hell I'd want a car like that with a repaired chassis, it's new or nothing at that point. Besides, I'd rather have a 67 plate car than a 17 one, be worth more innit.

Which assumes that I don't think that the forum hosting photos is a good thing. It's a very good thing, not only because it's free to me but also because it's not me in charge of policing it
