  1. I'd agree with that actually, I don't see any need for a reduction in the limit either. I'm not against someone having a single pint before driving, as long as it's not the real strong stuff.
  2. Unless the land owner is involved, then any invoices are speculative. This is how many people are still able to evade parking charges, as the agreement must be set up in a very specific way.
  3. For me, I'd get an Elise or VX220 too. Nothing comes close, and although the straight line figures will tell you one story I can promise you that even a basic Elise will be easy as quick as a 350Z, if not quicker. It'll be a damn sight more involving too. Other than that I'd be looking at an S2K, or a decent Impreza STi. The latter is far more fun than you think, and if you get one in the right spec it feels special enough to be a weekend car. Put it this way, we've got a hoon planned for October and I'm taking our Scoob instead of the BMW. I'd also give serious consideration to a Boxster, get one at £7K and pocket the rest in case you need to sort the engine. More usable than the Elise, more special than a 350Z, and a flat six engine howling is a thing of great joy.
  4. Personally no, I wouldn't get a 370 when you've got a HR. So what are the must haves/have nots of a new car? Give us some more detail and we can make some suggestions, before I reel of a list of cars you have no interest in.
  5. Not unless he's the land owner, and can set up the legal framework required.
  6. Not a police issue, so they won't even bother to attend I'm afraid. They will if there's criminal damage caused to a bike though...
  7. Is it the same bike? I'd be tempted to take a note of the reg, then add that to the sign. If someone sees that, they may just think twice before parking there.
  8. Good vid, but jeez man that music was so unnecessary! The lights sell themselves dude
  9. Pics plz Welcome along, glad you're enjoying the car! Out of interest, what was it about the Boxster S (986 or 987?) you didn't like? Also you say you didn;t drive any E46 M3 coupes, I assume you prefer cabs then?
  10. Large panel gaps look sh*t regardless. Race cars I'll forgive on the basis they get knocked, but street cars have no excuse.
  11. They will, they really will. The correct way to do a big conversion like that is to buy high-quality pieces (i.e. not replicas) and get a decent bodyshop to fit. Cheapy parts will fit like crap and look like crap, and will need a ton of bodywork to fit. Even the proper stuff will need a bit of jiggery pokery, which is why it's so important to find a decent bodyshop not just a cheap one. Else you end up with a sack of sh*t like in the video.
  12. Are they the new A048s Alex?
  13. I really hope you're being sarcastic about the panel gaps.
  14. R888Rs in the sizes you've specced will be perfect. AD08Rs are great, but they weren't as good as the old 888s which aren't as good as the new ones. You'll need to run some silly low pressures from cold though (like 22psi IIRC) so that they achieve the proper pressure when warm. Also, tyres not tires. And welcome along!
  15. What, the whole kit complete with panel gaps you could drive into and a dog's dick red interior?
  16. Chuck another sign up saying bikes will be dragged out of the space, and follow through with the threat if necessary.
  17. How could anyone be proud of that?
  18. Oh totally unlike you mate. Would never dream of suggesting it!
  19. Ah that's a shame, it's always the drone that kills the fun
  20. Of which folks will claim there's many, I'm sure But specifically, drink driving. Ol' Wayne Rooney has allegedly been charged with it today, but it's not like he's the first person to ever have a few then get behind the wheel. It's one crime though I just can't fathom out why people do it. I mean, I just don't get the mindset at all. I have, in my 37 years on this planet, been in many states of inebriation: A bit giggly after a beer or two, a cheerful drunk after an afternoon session, barely able to speak my own name after seriously hitting it, and hospitalised because I'm so drunk I stopped breathing*. And yet, in none of those states have I ever thought for one second it would be a good idea to get behind the wheel. Ever. It's possily the most dangerous and stupid thing that people still do on a regular basis, and I'm utterly baffled by it. Does anyone know anyone who's been done for it, and why they did it? Or has anyone been done themselves? No judging on this one from me, if you want to share your experience I promise not to pass comment on you. I just don't get it. I really don't. *This night was exactly a week before my wedding, the future Mrs Ekona was not impressed
  21. Bloody hell Nissan, let it go already! We want to see a new Z-car (and a new GTR, while we're here) not a blink-and-you'll-miss-it refresh. Serious question, are Nissan broke at the moment? Or do they just not care about sports cars right now, maybe something to do with a lack of top-level racing? Just seems really odd to do something like this, esp when it's not like this suddenly makes the 370 a must-buy.
