  1. It's why I want a boob job. I reckon there's nothing I couldn't achieve with a great pair of norks.
  2. *that learned him proper Pfft, philistines.
  3. Hisense are cheap for a reason... But then I won't say I've not considered them myself too. Like Veeg though, I always default to a Samsung screen. They're generally the best out there for my purposes, well set up and well made with good opportunities to adjust the picture for the best visual definition. That said, and I've said this before on here, you need to go try some models out first hand. Pop to Currys or wherever nice and early, take your favourite BD or Xbox game with you, and compare them across multiple screens. Of course they'll all be setup for that super-contrast nuclear winter demo modes, but you can still get a good idea on what works and what doesn't. What is good for one person's eye may well be crap for another, so use your own to decide as ultimately you're the one who's going to be watching stuff on it.
  4. Ooh cars and coffee at Maldon? Count me in.

Yes, the VED decreases every year until it hits the low point. Exact figures are on the government website
  6. Never ever ever fit different tyres on the same axle. Ever. I know you say you're getting it changed, but I do hope you mean like today and it's only a 30 second drive to the tyre place. It's incredibly dangerous to do so, and I'm disappointed the place that sold you the replacement didn't point this out, Have you only had this issue since you had the puncture and changed the tyre? Not before?
  7. Sounds like everyone has them apart from me
  8. ST:ID etc are not in the Prime universe though, so they can go a little off-kilter if they want. That makes sense, and would do so here if it wasn't Prime. And Michael is still a stupid name for a female lead
  9. Michael is also a stupid name for a woman. Utterly ridiculous idea. Klingon funeral rites haven't been changed since they were introduced when K'ehleyr died in Worf's arms, so that's 27 years
  10. I wouldn't mind ST:D (heh) so much if it wasn't set in the Prime universe. There's just too many things that make absolutely no sense whatsoever. A change of look for the Klingons is fine by me, but changing their funeral rites? Nope. Making subordination just a regular ol' thing on a Ferderation starship? Nope. And having a captain who is apparently completely okay with taking the most famous criminal in the quadrant and giving them free reign into a classified programme? Definitely nope. And let's not even go into why Spock has never ever ever mentioned that he grew up with a Terran girl... It might be good TV (which it is), but it's not Star Trek. I don't get how they got the new films so very right yet this so very wrong.
  11. Click your name at the top of the page, then Account settings --> Signature.
  12. Given he wrote that book a full two years before the MPS4 came out, I'd suggest that's fairly impressive foresight.
  13. Sounds like possible interference to me, try changing channel on the router as a starting point. May well not be, but it's an easy one to check and nothing to lose.
  14. Bit unfair to expect the NSX to be as quick as cars costing ten times as much, so in that respect it’s a bit of a bargain. Still ugly and with the interior of a Civic, mind you. I’d love to drive the GT3 version with no hybrid nonsense, I bet that’s a riot.
  15. You forgot AIDS. That's all my fault as well. Damn sexy monkeys... In my defence I wasn't actually supposed to be sorting anything out, that was @GracieB's suggestion I suggest someone start a new thread, suggest a date and location and then let's go from there.
  16. Anyway, laptimes. Further apart than I expected tbh, Bedford West is a good comparison which is 1:26:10 for the R and 1:20:10 for the GT-R. The only caveat is that Tiff was in the Nissan and Prosser in the VW, and I think it's reasonable enough to say that the former isn't as quick a driver! Still, that's a bigger gap than I thought, I stand corrected.
  17. I've not driven a Golf R, no. I have no desire to either, but at the same time I've already said I wouldn't take one over an R35. If you honestly believe your last sentence, then I really don't think this is the conversation for you. Doc already pointed out a ton of reasons why someone might pick an R over an R35. And given that we've already proved that an R35 is cheaper than a new R, saying that one is outside of the average Joe is ridiculous
  18. I dunno, I think you might be surprised. Less weight, newer electronics, newer chassis... I bet there's not as much in it as you'd think. I'll go have a hunt for lap times.
  19. I don't think I'd call a 1500kg 4WD hot hatch with 300-odd bhp (much less 400bhp with a £120 remap!) dreadfully dull. Hell, it still has the option of a manual 'box so that's one area where the R35 will never be able to compete. Plus new car, plus full warranty, plus decent interior, plus five proper seats, plus more boot space, plus it's a completely different image (for better or worse) etc. Now don't get me wrong, I'd take a GT-R over a Golf R too, but I can see plenty of reasons why many people wouldn't.
  20. I wonder if they will go much lower, y'know. Excessive running costs doesn't always mean that prices go down to compensate, ultimately you can get to a point where if you can't afford to run one then it doesn't matter how cheap it is. If the next GT-R is indeed all hybridy and into six figures, then I think R35 prices could well firm up.
  21. Hmm, that's a shame then, as that really spoils the look IMHO (which otherwise is fine). Would you look to weld the tips on instead?
