Sorry, I should've actually related my question to what I was looking at The BBC link GZ posted says: I mean, I get what a subsidy is in terms of the government paying part of a project, but how does that directly relate here? Kinda makes sense, but I want to make sure I'm properly understanding it.
-
Lot of hot air on here too. Is that last link not a bit, erm, biased? Given their aims. Also, I don't fully understand what's meant by energy subsidies. Is that the companies saying that they promise to only charge X amount per unit, but they want it guaranteed before they build?

Mine's been fine and not gone up any more than IPT rises despite two large claims, one fault and one non-fault. Like you say RS, it's hit and miss.

It’s no great surprise that alternative fuel usage has gone up whilst fossil fuel usage has dropped: The political usage of taxes and wider agreements (Kyoto etc) meant that this would always be the case. More so when you add in the fact that improving technology means it’s easier and cheaper to obtain AFs, where it’s getting harder to source FFs. Ultimately we’ll hit a point in the future where we are using no FFs at all, simply because there isn’t any left. But so what? I’m not fussed about where my power comes from, I just care that my hobby still exists and that won’t change in my lifetime.

If anyone cares, theres an addon for Firefox and Chrome that still lets you view all the pics regardless of PB. I've been using it for a few weeks now, seems flawless on FF anyway. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-fix/ https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg?hotlinkfix=1510258820826

Using complete years only, as 2017 isn't done yet. Coal 2006 - 141.49 2016 - 28.98 Oil 2006 - 4.42 2016 - 1.75 Gas 2006 - 137.76 2016 - 140.84 Totals 2006 - 283.67 2016 - 171.57 And just for giggles: Nuclear 2006 - 69.23 2016 - 62.69 https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/data-portal/electricity-generation-mix-quarter-and-fuel-source-gb That link has a proper data table to call the numbers out on. That graph with pretty colours on is f*cking useless.

Fair comment, I should've clarified further. I didn't mean bad parenting into the realms of child abuse, more that even a non-parent can see when someone is clearly leading their kid down the rabbit hole that only ends one way. I agree, wealth and location doesn't make a good or bad parent at all. Attitude is everything.
-
Oh there's definitely a wrong way. Feral kids prove that beyond doubt. At the good end of parenting there's many a nuance as to what is better, but at the bad end it's fairly obvious when someone is just doing a terrible job of parenting.

Until we come up with a new way of storing power other than using lithium, we're just smashing the planet a different way. Whatever we choose as our means of transport, aside from pedal or Shank's Pony, we're not really helping matters. As an aside, I also do not give a toss about this in the slightest. It's the most selfish view anyone can have on the environment, but I really don't care about saving the planet at all. I genuinely believe that it's not until it's proper borked and about to kill us all that we'll actually make a revolution that will save things, and if we don't then we don't deserve to survive as a species anyway. It'll all be well after I'm gone regardless, so I'll enjoy my time here as much as I can. #heartlessbastard

SNP being utterly incapable at actually governing shocker?

Contact BC with it then, they should know.

I put 37 hours into ACO over the first weekend It’s an absolute tour de force of an AC game. There is so much to do, and none of it involves collecting feathers or flags, so you just want to explore the entire mahoosive map. I wasn’t sure on Egypt first as a setting, but now I’ve totally bought into it completely. It looks simply stunning on PC at 1080/60 at Ultra, and it’s only the slowdowns that plague that version in the cities that irks at all (I’m personally seeing drops into the low 50fps at times, and have had to upgrade my HSF due to the game wanting to run the CPU at 100% for extended periods due to bad optimisation). Bayek is the best character since Ezio too, proper mean but proper funny at times too. I sorely missed AC last year, but this was so worth waiting for. If I hadn’t played Life Is Strange this year, then this would be the best game I’ve played in the last 12 months.

Any remap, be it flash of the stock ECU/piggyback/stand-alone, is only as good as the person doing the remap. To cannibalise an old saying, choose any two out of cheap, safe and powerful.

Good lord, remove it! Looks like a dodgy Ripspeed sticker like that

The answer is staggeringly obvious, as it is with all cases where planning permission has been granted/refused where it clearly shouldn’t have been: Your brown envelope either wasn’t full enough, or didn’t reach the right person. Fill another one and try again.

It's the equivalent of an extra beer once a week. It's absolutely peanuts.

In black with the Weissach pack (don’t think that has it looking at those wheels), that’s my perfect car.

Third thread this week...!

Yeah... It won't. Ignoring the power difference completely, you won't get the extra 1000rpm that really makes the HR feel special. VED cost is utterly irrelevant if you're going to mod anyway Find me a DE that makes the same power as the HR with no FI and that doesn't cost more than the extra £2K you'd need to get into a HR in the first place. I mean, get a DE if that's all you can afford as they're still brilliant but as the HR is just better in every conceivable way that if you can, you really should.

Would’ve been until you tried to get me to deep throat.

I make sure never to sit in the seat after he's sat in it, just in case he gets me pregnant

But can it tell if you're only a little gay? Like, if you only kiss the tip? Asking for a friend.

Who? Oh, that guy. Right. He's left now then? Didn't notice. I could spend a paragraph or two gushing over how awesome he is, but any guy who can father two sets of twins back to back probably knows how manly he is So I'll make it nice and simple: Lexx, cheers for everything matey.
