And then someone else asks, so that's 72 for the next person, and so on and so forth. By not using the search you then make it more difficult for the next person who does make the effort to use it. Besides, 70 posts really isn't that much to go through: You can scan the results and see pretty quickly if it's relevant to you. There's a difference between searching and not being able to find the info you wanted and not searching at all: One is understandable and, by mentioning what you searched for, people can guide you for the next time, and the other is just about as lazy as you can get and quickly fills a forum full of wasted threads. Whilst everyone needs a bit of help sometimes, to be expected to be spoon fed every little thing shows a certain amount of contempt for your fellow owners IMHO.

The best thing you can do at this point is trawl your way through the PH classifieds and Autotrader, and find similar cars. Bearing in mind you'll totally have to ignore the mods, just find a few good examples of cars like yours and the prices. Put all this together in a file and send it via recorded delivery to the insurers and prepare to start haggling. What happened BTW? You ok?

Have you got like-for-like cover on the mods? If not, then they'll just give you the price of a totally standard car. Apologies if I'm telling you something you've already sorted.

The V6 tone. The roadster is quite an ugly car, but you can hear the engine note perfectly when you drop the roof and that makes up for it. I guess the only other thing that attracted me to the Zed was the price, as it's ridiculous when you look at what you get.

I know, that's probably most of the reason I considered it to be the time to really learn my lesson. The points have expired now, but I still stick to the speed limits as it makes for a much more relaxed drive. That doesn't mean that I don't accelerate like buggery up to the speed limit though

I got 3pts and £60 for 107mph on the A12 (and that was an average over 1/4 mile!). Really decent coppers that pulled me over though, they were stern enough with me that I've learnt my lesson but not patronising and with the common sense to realise that I was doing that in perfect conditions on a straight bit of road. No excuses though, it was bloody stupid and I was an idiot back then. I save it all for the track now.

That's very old news (check the date in the article!), and I'm never going to try it. Besides which, they've now brought (or are in the process of bringing out) a newer SPECS which catches you regardless.

The trouble I have with Setanta is that the whole reason they ended up with the England and Premiership games is that the European Commission decided that Sky having all the games was too close to a monopoly, and they don't like those so ordered them to split the packages up. Now, instead of just paying for Sky and getting all the England games included, I have to pay more monies instead. Nice one EU busybodies, that worked out really well

Having just spent a weekend taking it to bits and dremmeling it to make the TomTom XL fit in it perfectly, I'm loathe to change plans at this point again. Nope, both completely different. Imagine the difference between a mobile signal and a home telephone line. The home line will be better quality and guaranteed to work but you need to be right by it to use it. The mobile should cover more area but quality is variable, and in some places it won't work at all. They're different technologies and don't interchange with each other.

3G is broadband speeds over the airwaves (like a normal phone signal), and wireless is Wi-Fi that connects via a router to the interweb. Wi-Fi will usually be quicker, but you need to be near a Hotspot to use it. In theory 3G is available in a far wider area, but most coverage is patchy at best.

Popped into the dealership today to see how much a new flap actually is. Now I knew it wouldn't be cheap, but I do think that £123 is taking the p*ss somewhat. I think I'll have a go at spraying mine first to see if I can make it look semi-decent. I'm not sure I can ruin it any more, put it that way! Just need to decide on the colour now...
