  1. Fair enough, good work that man!
  2. Ooh, care to share which company did that % thing? Or are you not allowed? Sounds just like the kind of devious thing that certain companies would actually do, the bastards.
  3. Proof or I call BS. I'd only ever buy from the DVLA anyway, as they're always cheaper as the other companies simply buy from them and then put their percentage on top.
  4. Out of interest, what number plate were you thinking of buying?
  5. I've used Redline MT-90 in the past and it's fantastic stuff, would definitely recommend it and it's what I'll use on the Zed when the time comes for me to change my gearbox oil.
  6. In short, no. In a more detailed explanation, also no.
  7. Bonnet will make you faster. Exhaust will make you and others think you're going faster. Numberplate will probably make you look a tit unless it's tasteful. HTH
  8. Given that they got a 4.9 out of the 313 Zed, then just 0.2 secs quicker is believable. It might have been nice to know a bit more about the drive rather than just statistics, but we'll have to wait for some proper reviews I guess.
  9. Just remember that if you stay above 40mph you won't get wet, so there's no excuse for not having the roof down 95% of the time! Welcome along matey.
  10. See, I really like the Panamera and think it looks a lot better than it has any right to. I wouldn't buy one myself even if funds allowed, but I don't think it's as hideous as some of the guess-art looked. I have to disagree with you there. Almost every car manufacturer in the world has gone through some pretty severe brand changes in the last decade or so, and they've had to as the competition has changed. Ford now produce very good cars as they've got to compete with BMW, and Vauxhall are just about turning the same way. Toyota = boring and safe, and so on and so forth. Porsche needed to add the Cayenne just to make enough money to survive, as 911 and Boxster sales weren't doing it for them. It all very well and good to be able to say "Oh, we're a sports car company and that's all we'll ever do" but if it's not paying the bills... No-one mocked Aston when the Rapide was shown. Same principle in essence. Okay, so the Rapide is somewhat better looking than the Panamera, but the needs are the same.
  11. I hate that the two buttons are so close together, the amount of times I've gotten soaked when trying to turn the TC off as I pull away with the roof down is ridiculous!
  12. For that sort of money for that sort of car I'd be getting something with a Maserati badge on, not a BMW one.
  13. You don't have to literally use your heel and toe: I use either side of my foot and just roll across as my limbs don't bend like that either.
  14. We had loads here But now it's all gone
  15. Well spotted! Guess they haven't made any with a Nissan badge on yet then.
  16. It's 10K lighter than the 350Z.
  17. I actually don't like the way the detail on the spokes isn't central on them IYSWIM. That would irritate the hell out of me.
  18. With the bungs in you'll be fine on the static, but I would bet you'll trip the drive-bys easily. Don't forget that you get no second chances there any more, one tripped meter and they send you home. I'm banned by the missus from driving into multi-storey car parks with the bungs out any more as I set all the alarms off and she gets a bit embarrassed and somewhat angry at me...
  19. Fixed. I like the full-size glove box that's only half-size when opened. Brilliant. And the less said about the pedals now the better. And yet, worryingly, it is better up close than I thought it would be. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's better than the Cayman interior as I really don't think it will be going on the photos, but it's certainly a step in the right direction it seems.
  20. What's EVO got to do with anything? I'm perfectly capable of deciding that I prefer RWD to FWD on my own, thanks. Like I said, I really like the 182 but would never own one. That good enough a FWD car for you?
  21. Bingo. The new RS is going to be nothing more than another FWD scrabble wagon, regardless of how good the chassis is or what the super-trick LSD is doing.
  22. I love the Clio 182 as a car to borrow every now and then (brother had one), but you never get the control or feel that you do from an RWD setup. Never. Feel is everything, and when you've got two wheels doing both steering and power it's never going to be as pure. Granted a good FWD car can be better than an average RWD one, but I know which I'd prefer to own.
  23. Tell me about it And we still had to modify the TTE kit due to the location of the coolant return pipe from the turbo as they'd put it in a really daft place, so even millions of pounds of R&D budget doesn't guarantee you'll get a 100% quality product in the end. Given that I reckon you could do an LS3 swap for a solid 430bhp N/A and with that soundtrack for about £12K, that's certainly where my money will be heading in the future as you'd far more reliability over any FI option. Granted you'll have different teething issues, but still.
  24. If only it was 4WD (or better RWD), I'd have been sorely tempted to wait for that instead of getting the Zed this year. I'd never consider buying an FWD performance car, regardless of how well they do actually handle.
