  1. The real scary thing is that people actually buy them, not realising it'll cost them performance rather than give them any.
  2. Many thanks to all who run this site for sorting that out, top work along with continued great news about Phil.
  3. I'll be the only person that giggled like a schoolgirl when the car flipped and rolled into the legs of the kids on the wall, then. So over the top, just like the advert from over here against drink driving when the girl smashes her head into the table. I know I'm going to hell for laughing at these, but that's the only emotion they raise from me. If you drive like a tit then of course things could go horribly wrong, but all these adverts are just so excessive they come across as almost slapstick on occasion.
  4. You need to be a member of my350z.com AND be logged in there to see the photos.
  5. Tbh I'm a little disappointed that EVO actually gave it a full review on the basis of 3x 10min drives on a manufacturers proving ground, regardless of how close to German roads it may be. It's certainly something they never would have done a year or so ago, and is yet another black mark against the name of a magazine that used to be the monthly driving bible.
  6. Nice one Mike, that's just what I'm after! *bids*
  7. You're actually better off with no plate stuck on at all and using the excuse of "It must've fallen off officer", as the penalties are much less severe. Tbh, if you know you've got an illegal plate then you can hardly complain when you get pulled up on it. I've always viewed number plates as something extraordinarily ugly that blight the front and rear of every car, but since everyone has to have them there's no point in complaining or trying to get round it.
  8. Thing is, JAE at Mersea this year was absolutely brilliant, with a proper decent atmosphere back again. Yes, there were huge **** ups with the organising of the whole thing still (the least of which was that they'd been working to the wrong scale when dishing out space for each stand!) but the fact that everyone was so much closer together made for a brilliant weekend. In all honesty it'd probably be better if John and Claire stood down really and let others have a crack at it, but then I doubt we'd end up with a JAE at all.
  9. It's a bargain until you put your car in the ditch, especially in this weather.
  10. Nice one, let us know who the specialist is as well as it might well be handy when the warranty ends. Will you get it back in time for Xmas?
  11. Terrible news Andrew, my thoughts are with you, Phil and your family at this time.
  12. You'd install it in the main pipe after the y-pipe in the case of our vehicles. It's going to throw the lengths out a bit, but only by the thickness of the flange so should be perfectly fine.
  13. Let me guess, it's got one big single turbo like the last FQ-400? LAAAAAAAGGGG city. It does look the part though, and yet at that price you'd have to be mad to want one.
  14. You'll have to prise my dead cold fingers from the steering wheel before that ever happens Thanks for all the messages guys, much appreciated
  15. That looks proper chav. And that's saying something coming from someone from Essex.
  16. It wouldn't surprise me if top-spec 370Zs came in at £35K, given the ****-poor state of the pound right now.
  17. That Celica one looks far better than I thought it would. Presume it's just the standard OEM spoiler as fitted to the sport and premium (or whatever they were called) models?
  18. And there was me thinking I could let another year disappear quietly into the gloom of despair at almost being 30... Thanks guys! Shame I'm gonna be stuck at work for most of it, but then that's the price you pay for being all growed up and responsible and stuff...
  19. Bugger, doesn't look like it fits the Roadster
  20. That's beautiful, and I love that rear bumper as well
  21. Slightly off topic, but TurboTomato as in vx220.org TurboTomato? If so, hi! :bye: I can't help but wonder if these roof issues are related to the cold weather we've had recently: What's the minimum temp that the roof can be safely stowed at? I've not got my manual to hand to see, if there even is one (temp that is, not manual).
  22. I've had to do the whole lifting off thing in previous cars at Bedford, so know only too well how frustrating it can be. Any decent exhaust place should be able to knock up a removable silencer for you for small money, not sure where you're based but I'd be tempted to head towards Hayward & Scott if you're anywhere near them. Brilliant work and very reasonable prices too. And if you do go, let me know how you get on as I may well have to do the same
