You can get it freely from the US, although it's sold under a different name. I bought some refills last year when I was out there for the reason I couldn't get any at all in the UK anymore.

I don't really care that Hamilton was docked his points, more that they had all this info available to them a mere hour after the race had ended so why has it taken them 4 days to get it sorted? That's the real farce, not whether McLaren tried to pull a fast one or not. F1 has to be one of, if not the richest sport in the world today. Get yourself a stick of chalk and draw a line from the middle of the tyre sidewall straight out to the edge of the tyre: It'll tell you just how much the tyre is rolling over during cornering, and you can then adjust tyre pressures as necessary. Tbh if you're terrified of tyre wear then just pump all four to the maximum allowed, that'll keep wear to the absolute minimum although you'll obviously have to drive the car more carefully. Personally if you're that bothered about tyre wear then track days probably aren't a good idea full stop, but on a smooth track like Combe you'll do well to notice any wear at all, whereas an airfield with abrasive concrete can easily kill a set of tyres in a day (done that twice, both times at Elvington ).

If it is the shocks, then I'd expect them to be changed under warranty at that mileage.

Gotta be said, if the Cayman S had dropped to the prices it has now when I bought my Zed just over a year ago, it would've been very hard to choose the Nissan over the Porker. Better looking, better to drive, and even servicing is nowhere near what you'd expect either if you stick with specialists rather than OPC. The only downside is that you can't really mod a Cayman as it's either very expensive parts-wise or you'll simply destroy the value of the car.

Didn't '07s come with RE050s on? How many miles has the car done in total? Worth checking your tyre pressures and alignment as well, either of those could cause the back end to feel extra lively.

You might not want to spend £44K on a brand-new Cayman S, but you might well be considering spending £30K on a second-hand one and that's where the comparison really is.

I can't see the point in having lights on the car when you'll only need them (and can legally use them) one or two days a year... If they were standard fog lights fitted flush into the bumper then they'd probably look okay at least, but I really don't like them at all. Sorry!

355 was the last decent looking and sounding Ferrari. I'd take a decent 355 GTB over a 360 or 430 (including CS/Scuderia) anyday. Hell, I'd probably take a 348 over the latter two as well, dodgy handling or not.

They'll do it. Part of what they do is alter any exhaust to anything you want, so I can't see them passing up something so simple for a bit of easy cash.

Very. Basically, if you want a custom exhaust made to the highest standard and to your specs and you live down this way, then you go to H&S. I would imagine that £650+VAT fitted is the discount price for being the first one, as that's silly cheap for a true dual exhaust to Rich's spec. True dual will give a slightly different tone to a standard system Rich, but noise depends on what size silencers they use. If they propose on doing it the way that Jag has been done, then you can expect it to be roughly as loud as my K1 I would imagine. Best thing to do is to ask them and get a rough dB guide from them. After all, this can't be the first time they've ever built a true dual exhaust for a V6.

I paid the fee myself, least I could do with you organising the whole thing. I did the whole Personal option as well, but it always seemed to tag me with the fee no matter what option I chose. I'm not bothered about it though, it's only a couple of quid and that's peanuts compared to what we're potentially saving.

In all honesty, I think it always has been. I have a nagging feeling that the GTR has been built right on the very edge of what Nissan can achieve in terms of durability and for that price point, and they're now trying to push away from the extreme sports market and target those that won't be taking the car on track at all.

I've never accidentally driven down a piece of road where cars aren't allowed, and I'm guessing that 99% of people on here haven't either, so it's not like it's an easy mistake to make... ^^^ This. A satnav is a good guide to get you roughly where you need to be, but common sense and the ability to look at the road signs instead of your satnav screen should always be employed first. In essence, you've done basically what this guy did, just with a slightly better outcome. Count yourself lucky and learn from the mistake, don't bitch at the police for doing their job (although I would agree that a stern telling off would probably have sufficed, but if there were loads of cars going down there like you say then the only way to get people to stop doing it is to get tough).

1680 at home but only 1024 on the works laptop which I vary rarely use. I actually have no idea what res I use on the Mac at home though...

Are you using the spring washers that came with it? Shouldn't come loose with those on, and certainly mine have never moved at all between changes.

Not sure about JDMs and OBDII, I know some cars aren't compatible but am not 100% on the Zed. I would imagine that it's fine given that no-one has mentioned it before, but it's worth waiting for someone who knows for sure to comment before committing.
