  1. Regardless of morality here, the seller doesn't need anyone's permission to sell a photo like that. Still wrong though
  2. Well, after detailed specs like that then it must be perfect for the Zed! Go weigh it. Get it dynoed to get exact power/torque graphs. It might be stronger on the outside to prevent any big whacks, but if it's designed for competition then it may only be able to last 10K miles instead of 250K miles. Dry sump is good, but you need far more details on exactly what is inside the block before any kind of reasoned judgement can be made.
  3. You'd need to know the weight, the differing internals, the output and where the power was being made, and a rough guess at the lifespan of the unit in question. After you find all that out you can start working out if it's any better than the stock engine.
  4. It's not impossible, put it that way. Given that the test pipes would have made for easier gas flow at low RPM, I'm inclined to think you're a bit of a loony and this is all in your mind I only say that as going back to a catted system will feel different, and I think you may well have gotten used to how the car drove with the pipes in place and you're simply readjusting now. Chuck a bottle of fuel system cleaner in your next half-tank and see if that improves matters.
  5. See, mine does this, and so do all my cars that I've ever owned. No way should you even contemplate being in 6th gear at 30mph, and even 4th is pushing it. That's very bad for the engine as you're putting a monumental amount of stress on it, so I'd stop doing that for a start. Not trying to be funny or anything, but are you sure that there's any issue here? Maybe you're just noticing the fuel pump more, and this has now led you to think there's something wrong so you're trying to find fault where one doesn't exist? Dunno, just throwing an idea out there.
  6. All I can think of is how sorry I am for the lady in the BMW and the lady in the blue car, and how much I really hope the old guy is in a lot of pain right now. I can only go on the detail that's been given, and to that extent I have no sympathy for the blind bastard at all who should've actually bothered to look before entering a busy road

    Misfire

We have wideband O2s on our car??!! Okay, that's going to make hooking up an AFR meter easier in the future...!

    Misfire

O2 sensor is irrelevant, it sits after the engine so nothing to worry about there. Could be a dodgy coil pack or sticky injector, swap them on cylinder 4 with cylinder 1 one at a time to see if the misfire moves, will tell you if it's the pack or the injector or neither!
  9. Grinding noise doesn't sound promising. Issue with the LSD perhaps? Would cause the slip sensors to go a bit potty straight away, and possibly also cause the grinding to a halt. If you bought it from a garage then take it straight back now, if from Joe Bloggs then I think I'd take it to a Nissan dealer for a diagnosis only, as noises are very hard to sort out over the interweb.

    My rear end

And they come in carbon fibre as well... I so want one of those now if they do fit straight when mounted properly.
  11. Le Mans, lemons... In-joke between the group we travel down with, we're called The Lemons. Not as funny when you write it down on a forum

    350z Rolles Royce

I can take or leave the front, but that rear is utterly beautiful. The lines remind me of something Brabus or Zagato might have done were they let loose on the car.
  13. RBF600, and you'll need 1.5L of it. Job's a carrot.
  14. Finally got my car all finished today, so here's a few very badly taken pics of it (click for the full-fat versions, brings out the details): And yes, that is a lemon sticker over the rear wheel arch All set to leave on Monday now, can't wait!
  15. Estimated price so far is about $200, so you can call that £200 when it gets over here. Personally I'm not keen at all, as we all wowed when the Wii came out and now it's just full of the same old crap games (I haven't touched mine in about a year), and I fear the same shall befall my beloved 360. Besides, all I want to do is shout obscenities at Milo just to see what he'll do, not go fishing with the irritating little @*!#. Yeah, I got issues.
  16. You'd have been far too exhausted from banging those two smokin' hotties to post anything on an internet car forum ;)
  17. Speedcats all the way. There is no finer driving shoe.
  18. Tape converter is gash compared with an FM transmitter, but both are rubbish compared with a proper headunit connection. Honestly, ditch the Bose and get yourself something decent in there, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes, I know I was!
  19. I wimped out and got DMS to fit mine, along with my rear camber arms too. As I needed an alignment straight after anyway it seemed the easy way to do it, really.
  20. Those arms are absolutely beautiful, aren't they? Did the clips only come today? Bit pi**ed off with RM if they did, as I promise you I sent them when I said I did (well, the second time round anyway!). Ah well, just glad you've got them now, that's the main thing.
  21. Sorry, but I don't like that Zed badge at all. Red on orange doesn't work very well at the best of times, and that looks tacky and cheap. Strut cover looks beautiful though, almost makes me wish I had a coupe just so I could get one!
  22. I've got my 30th in December this year, and I think I'm going to treat myself to a Gallardo/Murci Spyder for a weekend on hire, not sure which one yet. Very expensive, but realistically I'll never have the cash to own one so it seems like a good excuse to splash the cash.
  23. I did a full day in a Group N Impreza a few years ago, and it was really awesome stuff. Inside my hands were all over the place, but somehow I still managed to get the knack of 4-wheel powerslides round a hairpin and the instructor said it looked awesome from the outside, despite the mess going on within! Well worth doing, and gives you a totally different perspective on car control.
  24. In that case I'd definitely be sticking with the standard OEM specs that Alex posted, should give you exactly what you're after. Having a car that understeers when pushed is always the safer option, and almost always the best set up for the road.
