    05 or 06?

Having sat back to back in mine and Rich's, I'd say it was almost night and day. The layout seems a lot better in the '06 (placing of the hazard switch and the mini-cubbys in the armrest), and certainly the plastics are a lot nicer to look at than all the elephant-hide stylee in the early cars. The silver HVAC controls are a nice little touch but not that critical, but I do prefer the extra cupholder on the pax side in the early cars compared to the useless drawer thing in the '06+.

    05 or 06?

Personally speaking the interior on the '06 is so much improved that it's worth saving a bit more and getting an '06 GT car, after all that's where you spend most of the time
  3. While it's not a true test, and you could still technically get a s59 for it if you were being a tit, I passed my MOT last week with it on.

    17's?

its good to know, but in order to do that i'd need to borrow a set while the work was done. Buy mine for £200, sell them on when you're done to the next person who wants to get their wheels done;)

    17's?

Clicky clicky In the arse end of nowhere, but really decent guys. Owner used to run a Zed, too

    17's?

The place where I had my Rays done charged a mere £35 per wheel, or £45 if you wanted them done in a particular finish. I was really happy with the finished article too.
  7. I got my bill through today funnily enough. 2-bed house, occasional occupancy during the day, combined gas & electric for the last quarter was £240. I refuse to pay DD as I'd rather have the money sitting in my account getting me interest than in theirs.
  8. I now have my Rays back and refurbished with another set to be collected soon so no longer have need for these, so they're up for sale. There's mild kerbing on the fronts but the rears are in much better condition, and there is absolutely no buckling on them at all. Would make a perfect set of track/winter wheels, or you could even do what I did and just use them as a temporary solution while you get your decent alloys refurbished. I've even given them a quick clean today, hence the wet patio below them! I've only had them a few months and am only looking to recoup what I paid for them, so they're up for £200. Collection only please, either from Braintree or my workplace at Stansted Airport.
  9. I've run nitrogen filled tyres for the last two years now, and while there is noticeable benefits on track there's not so much of a difference on road. That said, nitro filled tyres hold their pressures over a period of time far better than normal air: I've yet to need a top up on a nitro filled tyre. Well worth doing if you can get your hands on it.
  10. Good man, that's exactly the right attitude to have I reckon

    Space Saver Issues

You should always put a space saver on the rear wheels, yes. That way you'll get issues with traction, but not with the steering which is when you really would have trouble. That goes for any car, not just the Zed.
  12. While it may seem like the copper was way out of line, I don't actually think it's as bad as it sounds. In fact, I reckon he's actually done you a favour by warning you that he's 'after you', as I can almost guarantee that you're going to stick to the speed limits for the foreseeable future. I'm also willing to bet that he knows this, and by giving you what appears to be a ridiculously harsh warning he's enforcing the law without needless paperwork and without actually giving someone points and a fine. When I was younger I was in a similar situation, and it wasn't until I looked back and thought about it I realised that he was actually a really decent guy for saying what he did. Police these days know exactly what their limits are and won't step over them due to the litigation-happy society we've become, and this is his way of giving a big warning to you. Take it on the chin, remember the limits and don't speed.
  13. Please be very careful driving like that, especially with brand new Toyos on the back. The rear will have a noticeable tendency to want to overtake the front, and in all honesty I wouldn't drive it like that unless absolutely necessary, and even then I'd granny it. Camskill have a legal right to take the tyre back at their own cost and replace. Just make sure you take plenty of photos before in case they decide to argue the toss when the tyre comes back, as I've never heard of a Toyo with a beading fault.
  14. There's a similar kind of layout in Colchester which is great fun, especially when you go one way and the guy sitting on your ass goes the other, and you still manage to beat him to the exit the other side!
  15. So apparently you need to be 25 to be able to test drive an Evo, nice of them to tell us that after we've booked the test drive. Do they actually expect us to spend £35K+ without even having driven the bloody thing? Well, guess what Mistubishi, you can FRO and I'll spend my money elsewhere you useless bunch of cretinous twunts.
  16. Because no-one pays what a modified car is worth. Never have done, never will. Although there's no way this car has a built engine, so it's either an accident waiting to happen or it already has, hence the price.
  17. I'm not entirely sure it's a good idea to post up a thread moaning about people not being nice to you, but posting it in such a way that you come across as an utter mong. It's really only ever going to end badly, what with this being the internet and all.
  18. Me too, and after the disaster that was GT5P I'm glad that the PS3 is a very good BD player, as that's all it gets used for now. Still, at least it gets more use than my Wii!
  19. Bookatrack, only £9 to borrow including delivery both ways
  20. Funny, 'cos I'm using nitrogen too and that makes no difference at all to the softness: A set pressure is a set pressure regardless of gas used, and the only difference with a nitrogen fill is that it won't balloon up quite so much on track, in which case you simply add more pressure in the first place. If 35 psi is too low for you, try adding +2 psi all round. I was simply passing comment about the best tyres, which seems perfectly acceptable on a best tyres thread. Tbh if you don't want a post being commented on then don't post on the internet. I actually skipped over the part when you said you need tyres every 5000miles when on the PS2s, as if I had seen that I'd have said you're either doing 5 track days in a year or definitely not driving the car properly. Any better for you? I'm sure it's the former though. Fine, you win, I'll answer that one for you. 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 in Michelin PS2 and they'll definitely fit. You don't need to go any wider than stock tyres unless you're putting down silly power. If you're that serious about track work then I'd be getting a set of PS2s for the road and then a spare set of track wheels shod in R888s to swap over. Happy now?
  21. I'll PM you to sort out the details. @Rich: Keep your ears peeled
  22. I'll take them off your hands, collection is fine.
