  1. A search for iPod and Bose brings up 131 matches over 6 pages, and you're telling us you couldn't find anything?! Anyways, I'm in a generous mood so I'll tell you the quick way: Always check the FAQs out first But in short you'll have to ditch the Bose, which is no great loss.
  2. It's true to a point though, just check out Hamilton. Arguably the most talented guy out there, but with a useless car he's nothing and that's what Button has had throughout his F1 career; Alonso and Massa likewise. Unfortunately that's mostly been the case with F1 in recent years and the only comparisons you can make between drivers is between team-mates driving the same car. The best drive on Sunday came from Hamilton IMHO: 17th to 3rd makes Button's 14th to 5th not look quite so impressive, especially considering the McLaren is by far the weaker car still. If Alonso and Massa don't end up in a screaming fit next year, and if McLaren can continue their progress, then we're in for a hell of a battle as I think that Brawn with Jenson will still be up there.

You got them on now? Ooh, we need to meet up so I can feel what they're like, might well be replacing the PS2s on mine next time round if they're any good

Unfortunately they don't make those in the correct sizes for the rear, as I was looking for a set at the weekend. They make them in the rear for standard wheels 245/45Y18 but not the front. My bad, wrong way round Greekman runs the 40 profile and reports no issues. I myself have doubts over the sizes as well (nothing to do with Greekman before anyone jumps to conclusions!) as like you I fear the ESP is going to have a hissy fit and get it's knickers in a knot.
  5. Wow, loads of decent stuff on there, quite fancy the '06 Zed hoodie meself Those links are from the US site, don't forget to change it to .co.uk on the end to order from the UK site

By the time the light comes on it's too late. You will have suffered some damage to your engine, just how much is to be determined.
  9. Seeing as how you'd still have to use some kind of sticky tape to get these covers on to your lights anyway, I can't help but think that they're a massively over-engineered solution to a problem that doesn't really exist

Don't run mixed tyres front and back though, change all four if you're going to do it.
  11. I don't clean mine at all. For the cost of it, and not wanting to risk getting oil over the MAF, I just bin the filter and replace it with a new one which IIRC was about £65 from Envy.
  12. Fantastic race to watch, especially that first lap Hats off to Button and Brawn, just feel so sorry for Ruby as he really has no luck at all at Sao Paulo
  13. Tin of paint and a brush? Seriously, pick a decent colour and you could make a really nice job of it
  14. Right, I see what you're getting at now, my mistake. Surely it'd be easier just to set the software to show the correct figure as other Dynapack machines do? Sorry, I really don't mean to sound argumentative here as I personally think those numbers and curves look fantastic and have certainly convinced me that I'll happily chuck my car your way in the near future to have the remap done
  15. Why is the torque scale so far out on all the graphs? I mean, it'd be nice to have 1100lb/ft but I do think that's a tad unrealistic for a V6 N/A Personally I can't see anything much wrong with the original graphs you posted: You can clearly see the increase between the two runs, and if anything those later graphs confuse matters as they only start from 4.5K rpm so don't show the true picture. And yeah, pleasing all of the people all of the time and stuff
  16. Selling two of the above. Bought with the intention of fitting to the Zed but sadly my plans have changed so they may as well go to a good home! Both sets never fitted and are in immaculate condition as you would expect, and as they have the seatbelt-type locking mechanism on them they're MOT-friendly if you want to remove your old seatbelts. I'm only asking £65 +P&P (or collection from Braintree/Stansted Airport) for both of them, would suit an azure blue Zed wonderfully and certainly lift the interior!
  17. The 313 cars had a recall issued about the alarm problem: The alarm box needs changing. All under warranty, get it booked in and they can do it the same day they do the service
  18. Alright, chill out beansprout. Take a deep breath and let's start again, shall we? Right, as far as me calling you an expert goes I'd call 90% of the regulars here an expert on 350Zs, mainly because they know the car far better than Joe Bloggs in the street and usually equally as good as any Nissan dealer. I wouldn't necessarily class a dealer as an expert with 350Zs due to the scarcity of them, but some places (Middlehurst springs to mind) certainly would go down under that title. Do you see what I'm getting at here? You don't need to know every little thing about the car to be classed as an expert: There's no diploma that gives you that title, but if you've got enough basic knowledge about the car and then a few specific bits over the top as well then I'd say you're an expert. That's my own view on things, no doubt you'll get the hump about that as well though. I don't "know all" as you so eloquently put it, but what I do know I'm happy to share with others. I've gained 99% of my knowledge through listening to what others say on this board, and tbh you'd do well to do the same. Everyone is telling you that, no matter what lap times and amazing driving ability you think you have on track, you have absolutely zero mechanical sympathy for your car and combining that with your aggressive style it is causing these failures. You've already mentioned that you're activating the ABS on the new discs but haven't even bedded them in yet: Then why the f*ck are you driving so hard on them?! Take the car out, bed the brakes in and then start seeing what they can do, else you're going to screw them up as well. You seem to have no idea just when to take the advice that so many people (even me, between my bouts of trying to drum a bit of common sense into you) are dishing out to you, instead you just fly on and wait for the next thing to break. You're quite correct, I do tend to have an opinion on most things, but I'm not aware of that being a crime. I am aware that I do tend to come across as a bit harsh at times and that's most certainly a failing on my part, but I tend to get somewhat frustrated when people simply won't listen to the advice they're being given. And as for never having met you, I don't believe that's a pre-requisite for forming an opinion of someone. I want to have Kelly Clarkson's children but have never met her, and would like to punch Katie Price in the face but I've never met her either. Do you see what I'm getting at? Look, above all we're all 350Z owners and we all want to make the most out of our cars. I'm sorry you feel victimised, but I'm honestly just trying to help you along here as is everyone else. Please accept my humblest apologies and whilst I won't say anything else in this thread so as to not force the issue and put the Mods in a place they'd probably rather not be, I'll make a concerted effort to address you in any other thread on here with a more open mind. Sound okay to you?
  19. So because a 350Z expert (Greekman, not Alex) couldn't tell if the discs were on the right way round or not, the garage should? Whilst they obviously screwed it up and they've tried to make amends by offering to fit the new ones for free, I'd always check myself to make sure stuff was fitted correctly afterwards to the best of my knowledge: I did so for the PF brakes I had fitted last week at my local garage, and again when DMS fitted some bracing and suspension bits for me, and again whenever I have directional tyres put on. I'm no mechanical master when it comes to fitting things which is why I get the professionals to do it for me, but I also know that when I'm supplying the parts I take part of the risk on myself. I'm not trying to argue here that Greekman doesn't have a case at all here as he clearly does, but to put all the blame on the Nissan garage (who don't have to fit aftermarket parts and this is partly the reason many don't) is a tad unfair IMHO given the abuse that the brakes on his car see. They're trying to make amends, so why not meet them halfway and try and get them to chuck in free labour on the next service as well? Labour is free for them, parts aren't, so they're more likely to give the former away in a compromise.
  20. Just to play Devil's advocate for a minute, look at it another way... You certainly know what you're talking about when it comes to the Zed and the various aftermarket options available to you, and were quite happy for Nissan to fit. However, even a cursory glance at the discs after fitting would quickly have revealed that the discs were fitted the wrong way, so why did it take you so long to notice? Why did you leave it so long before doing anything about it (discolouration of the calipers in mind here)? Should Nissan pay a majority of the cost when even the owner and 350Z expert couldn't tell that there was something drastically wrong? I'm not saying I agree with that, but it's always worth thinking about everything Nissan might counter with. Also I really wouldn't even bother trying to lie to them and saying that you didn't track it, as that will almost certainly come back to bite you in the arse. Be honest and you've got a fairly acceptable case for an amicable solution, but start lying and they'll start playing a bit harder.
  21. Think they're standard: Were certainly on the cars I looked over at JAE.
  22. I've got a set of OEM 18"s for sale, no tyres but then I'm only after £200 for the wheels which is what I paid for them. Am in Braintree too so nice and close Clicky
  23. Bah, sorted out a pair from Etyres in the end, £454 fitted. Will remember for next time though!
