  1. I only know there's about six as that's what the Nissan tech guy said to me when I asked about it. They've got a set of of different ones on a single keychain at my local dealer, so they just grab the lot and try them all on your car until they get one that fits, that way they never have to hunt around the owner's car for the elusive locking nut key
  2. Or (and I think this is a much better solution) is to buy a new locking wheel nut key for £14 from Nissan themselves. Take your car in, ask them to tell you what locking nut key you need (there's about 6 different ones IIRC) and order it up at the parts desk. Hey presto, you've solved all your issues in one go.
  3. Agreed. Why on earth people would buy something that bug-eyed and ugly when there's so many better looking cars that do everything the Micra does for equal money is beyond me.
  4. No reason why not AFAIK, not sure if it would feel any good though as don't the roadsters have different suspension settings than the coupes?

    Tyres

I've had about 9000 miles out of the rears but that did include one trackday and two very abrasive airfield days, so that's very reasonable I think. Fronts are still going strong, I expect them to last at least the 18K it'll take before I have to replace the rears again.

    Dipped Beam

Sorry, I mean the height of the beam. As stock it'll be set fairly in the middle of the max range of adjustment to ensure it passes MOTs and whatnot, but you can still set it to the highest limit and it'll pass without blinding others. That's what I did any way, and haven't looked back.

    Dipped Beam

I had a similar issue with my lights, so I asked my local dealer to adjust them right up to their maximum legal limit instead of somewhere in the middle. Made them a billion times better and now I don't even need to consider different lights. Worth a try before spending mega bucks?
  9. I've yet to try one, but they certainly look an awesome piece of kit and I've never heard anything bad about them. I was tempted to buy one but the wait put me off more than anything, so I plumped for the MS one last week and I don't feel too hard done by tbh as it's a solid piece of kit.
  10. Sadly the G27/25 aren't compatible with the 360, the only ones that are are the official MS 360 wheel (which I've got and am quite happy with) or the Fanatec Porsche wheels which are on an 8 week back order.
  11. Sorry, never gotten round to it It doesn't exactly blend in with the car, but it does do everything very well and is a piece of cake to use quickly when on the move. It seems weird now thinking of all the CDs I used to carry round when I had the Bose in there, and I couldn't imagine going back.
  12. For £300 you could get an Alpine head unit that's iPod compatible with no CDs at all AND an iPod and have a billion times more music in your car I've got a X305 in mine and it's fantastic, really improves the sound no end and I haven't even gotten round to changing the speakers yet...
  13. Brilliant link, nice one Chris
  14. Give it a chance, if you can. The FWD cars seemed awful to me on first play, but when I started being a bit more subtle with them I found they're a delight: Getting the nose to pitch in under light braking was a beautiful thing. The MR/FR cars will feel radically different, and it can take some adjustment, but then it does in real life so I think they've got it spot-on. Just to prove what an incredibly sad bastard I am, I bought a 350Z on there then added power to bring it to MY06 levels, put some decent rubber on, sorted the brakes, did the chassis, and then fiddled with the suspension settings until it was a carbon copy of my own car as I've got a printout that DMS did for me of my geo. With a wheel, it's just about as accurate as I expected it to be and handles like a dream. Stick with it, it's a sim not a twitchy arcade thing like NFS:S.
  15. I thought he was going to start chatting me up at any moment
  16. If you are down to the metal on the inside pads you'll almost certainly need new discs as well. Might be a good time for an upgrade and also to rule out any disc issues for the future.
  17. It doesn't look as good as GT5P for me as it's far too shiny and clean, however the physics and (especially) the racing AI lifts it far above any other racing game I've ever played, including F2. Watching two AI cars scrap for the lead and then take each other out into the gravel doesn't get boring I just wish they'd paid for some decent menu music, as the supplied stuff is utter dirge
  18. What did you pay for them? When I used to do the same for colleagues when I smoked I always charged about £20 which was just about break even, but that was about 5 years ago now.

    New Brakes

I'll let you know after the 31st
  20. Not suing, but complaining to the BBC Trust I think. Tbh I can't say I blame them, and I'd be doing the exact same in their shoes after the shambles that masqueraded as QT.
  21. ARGH DON'T WIPE THE MAF SENSOR!!! It's a very sensitive piece of equipment: Go and buy some carb cleaner from Halfrauds and spray a load of that on and leave to dry. If you're lucky you haven't knackered it by over oiling, and may just save the cost of buying a new one. This is the single reason that, for the low cost of it compared with a MAF, I just replace the filter on mine instead of trying to clean it. For £60, is it worth it?
  22. Hmmm, I'm not so sure about her. Her views on homosexuality aren't exactly subtle (although she did well to dig herself out of the hole she almost made), and whilst she certainly spoke with an air of calmness and authority that the others lacked I can't help but feel she was only there because the Conservatives wanted to show the other face of their party i.e. black and Islamic. Surely a more senior Conservative would've been a better choice rather than just play the other side of the race card? Jack Straw may be a useless muppet, but at least he's been around the block and is well known to most of the general public.
  23. It was an absolute waste of time. Dimbleby was far from the neutral chair that this programme so desperately needed, and to invoke Godwin's Law so early on just made for a bout of hysteria in the audience. They didn't give Griffin a chance to speak, instead preferring to spend all their time telling him what he said in the past and then shouting over him when he tried to respond. Just look at Jack Straw: The more he spoke, the more bumbling and cretinous he became as he simply had no idea what the hell he was talking about, and if they'd have let Griffin talk for more than 20 secs at a time it would've been like giving him enough rope to hang himself with. Instead we're no further knowing any of the BNPs policies or just how they would go about things given a chance (some would say that's not a debate for QT in the first place, but the BBC certainly wanted it to be), we're back to the same set of half-truths we all knew before.
  24. Probably not. Tbh it's not like there's only a very subtle difference between the two cars: A quick look under the bonnet would have told you what engine it had, or even (although this isn't infallible) a glance at the bonnet itself! Actually, scratch both of those, looking at the rev counter should've told you depending on if it went to 7K or 7.5K rpms. You knew enough about the different revisions to want the 313 model, yet didn't think to check that it was one before you paid your money? Sorry bud, but I can't be the only one here thinking that this is a problem entirely of your making, and unless it was mis-sold as a 313bhp model (which I bet it wasn't if it came via a Nissan dealer, as they tend not to put things like that on their adverts) then I'd just suck it up and put it down to a mistake you're not likely to make again.
  25. Just like it says to do in the instruction manual
