  1. What pads are you running?
  2. Model: 2006 Revup Mods: Popcharger & ESR Y-pipe Dyno: Dyno Dynamics @ Surrey Rolling Road BHP: 291bhp at the flywheel - 240bhp at the wheels Torque: 260ft/lb at the flywheel - 212lb/ft at the wheels Utterly delighted with those results, and a very good basis should I decide to add a spacer, plenum & remap later in the year.
  3. I'm not sure what's worse, the text on the advert or the car itself! Will AF not insure you?
  4. How the hell you can miss THE VERY FIRST THREAD RIGHT AT THE TOP OF EVERY BLOODY FOR SALE FORUM is beyond me. There really is no excuse for it, and all this "Oh, but I'm so used to ignoring all that" holds no sway with me: We're all adults here, not children needing to be bloody spoon fed every last little bit of information. Mods, you have my sympathies over this issue.
  5. If it had panel gaps on the bonnet like that one has, then yes. I could get my head in there!
  6. It'll be as good as any other FM transmitter i.e. not very. Change the head unit and do it properly, you'll be glad you did.
  7. Perhaps he's too busy with a tin of silver paint and a brush to get pics up just yet
  8. Nah, OEM coolant is as cheap and as good as you'll find anywhere, and it's always a good idea to stick with what's in the system anyway.
  9. Bump for final price reduction I would just like to add at this point that because this is the original ESR version of the exhaust, it DOES NOT suffer the same fitment issues/rattling as the later Japspeed ones. I had no trouble on my Roadster at all, even with the extra brace that it has.
  10. Bump for price reduction Come on guys, this is now a serious bargain for anyone wanting to try these tyres out or just grab a spare set of wheels to use while you get your decent ones refurbed for the summer.
  11. Should be able to buy bottles of coolant from any main dealer, certainly that's what I'd use.
  12. Truth is though that someone could follow the rules perfectly but still be a complete arse and rip someone off, so whilst they help the vast majority of decent people they still won't stop the dodgy ones coming through: They just make it more difficult for them. FWIW I find the current rules to be pretty good (if a bit too thorough), but at the end of the day it's up to the seller to decide who he wants to sell to. It really is no more difficult than that.
  13. Should be polish first then LP. LP is a wax pre-cleanser, it removes any stuff left before waxing, thus should be used after polish Also if the car is already swirl free, no need to polish, just use LP. Congratulations, you spotted my deliberate mistake! You win a prize!* *You don't win a prize, and I knew there was something about that list that didn't look correct when I wrote it! Cheers mate, will correct it now.
  14. Wash using DJ Born To Be Mild shampoo Clay using Autoglym medium clay + detailer Wash using DJ BTBM again One use of Megs Stage 2 polish One use of DJ Lime Prime 2-3 coats of DJ Blue Velvet wax 1 coat of DJ Red Mist to seal & protect Obviously if the car is less dirty then I won't go as mad, usually just a wash and maybe a wax topup, but that's pretty much what I do twice a year right there. **EDIT** Because I forgot about the Red Mist. **EDIT 2** Because I'm still a tit.
  15. Bargain, was offered £12.5K for mine against an '07 Exige recently... Same age and much less mileage than yours too!
  16. Or just wait a few years: A 360 can now be had for £35K which is relative peanuts. Whether you can afford to run it if things start going wrong is another matter
  17. I'm still not convinced externally about the 458, and the MP4-12C looks like Generic Supercar 74 in black.
  18. I wouldn't put Fairy Liquid anywhere near a car of mine, far too aggressive. Do it properly with a decent clay + lube, and then build up your layers.
  19. It's not a difficult car to drive at all as it's quite lardy and the engine is a lazy lump, so don't be put off by the horror stories you may hear!
  20. Welcome along, previous owner of VXR220 no. 20 here Personally I'd find another couple of grand and treat yourself to a much better example, but good luck with finding your Zed soon! **EDIT** Ah, just remembered your username from .org, knew I knew it from somewhere!
  21. Oh, and love the Turbo style rear vent stickers!
  22. The rear is obviously a disguise, that much is clear. Anything rear of the A pillars on cars at that stage of testing can almost be disregarded. What I find interesting is the front. Given that the water-cooled 911s are very picky about their front airflow over the rads, there doesn't appear to be any gap for them in the far corners on the front bumper, which is where 996 + 997 owners have had issues with rad corrosion and leaf collecting. I wonder if there's a much bigger re-design there mechanically than it seems? Then again, it may purely be a mule for drivetrain and interior winter testing, which would negate the need for as much front end cooling anyway. **EDIT** Scratch that, just seen a bit more of the video and the vents are clearly shown. Regardless, as long as it drives the price of 997 gen2 C2S's down when it's released I'll be a happy man.
  23. Spigot rings are completely different to spacers, they literally just fill in that gap you mentioned. Also ZOMG at the offset!
