  1. Take a visit to GSM Performance and try as many seats as possible, even if it’s a bit of a trek it’s going to be worth it long term. Try not to get fixated on a particular brand or seat beforehand though, an open mind will massively help you here. Being that tall tall is likely going to need some very low rails, or even a custom fab job. Not difficult to do, if you fancy a go yourself.

    Drifting setup

Buckets and harnesses will give you a significant control upgrade, as you’ll be able to feel what the car is doing much easier than in a regular seat, so that’s definitely something I’d be looking at if I were you. Plenty of options out there Also it’s worth getting a decent geo done too, although you’ll have to compromise between a road and a drift setup to an extent. Get the basics done right first
  3. Exactly, pop your thread in Motorsport as that’s where all that stuff belongs
  4. Plenty of drifters yes, but how many drifting threads do we have? I can’t remember a single specific one in the last few months (I’m sure there has been a couple though!), so it’s not like we’re overrun with drifting threads that need a home. The Motorsport section is for stuff like that anyway, so there’s already a home really

    January sales?

Are the MPS4 not available in identical sizes then? I know the 4S isn’t as you say.
  6. Ironically probably due to not selling many copies, which will now decrease given the main USP of their biggest issue of the year is now redundant.
  7. What the hell have they done to it?? Far from the glorious mega road trips involving multiple cars shot in stunning locations, it’s now a collection of old reviews. Gone are the direct and revealing back to back comparison drives where a Clio can go head to head with a Lambo, and instead we get cars that weren’t even released this year. No more unattainable specials either, so we’ll never see a GT3 or a 488 Speciale (or whatever it’ll be called) or even a McLaren Senna in there. Nope, all gone in the name of saving money by not bothering to do anything outside of grab old reviews from previous mags. RIP Evo
  8. I can only jest as I had one too All the cool kids do
  9. I’d like to see a few of those shot as well
  10. That tablet screen is possibly the worst piece of design from a user-friendly POV I've seen in a car for many a year. It's horrendous in style, too.
  11. Now that is an incredibly kind offer, you'd be proper mad to turn that down. Top man Adrian
  12. What happened to you man, you used to be one of us
  13. Basically BBK is spot on here. V5 purely shows who is legally responsible for taxing the vehicle, nothing else. It matters not a jot who's name is on the top, but they're the person who will be responsible for filling out any S172s for speeding etc, and more importantly who can be taken to court and pursued for any civil parking invoices by PPCs. You already own the vehicle, as you paid for it. Your receipt proves that, or money transfer to the dealer or whatever. That's your legal proof, right there. The arrangement you have with your ex is a different contract: They're buying the car from you at the rate of £12K over 36 months, and this is what you need a contract for. Easy to do, even something like "Mrs X agrees to pay Mr Y £333.33 per month for 36 months for BMW X5 registration XX00 XXX, commencing from xx/xx/xx. The vehicle shall not become the property of Mrs X until the amount is paid in full" and signed & dated by both is more than sufficient. If your Ex doesn't own the car, some insurers may be funny. However, that's not your problem so it's not something I'd worry about. She'll find someone to insure her, she may just pay a bit extra for the benefit. HOWEVER, personally I would be insuring it myself and getting her to pay me. Why? Well, what if she under insures it, or forgets to pay the insurance, or otherwise messes it up? If the car is then written off by her, you lose your asset and have no claim other than chasing her directly for the money which is going to prove troublesome I suspect. No, far better to insure it yourself and then you know it's done.
  14. What? They’re decent cars, they’re reliable as hell and peanuts to run. Is that not what you’re after?
  15. Look, if you want to go cheap to save cash but with zero risk then grab yourself a new Kia on a lease deal. £120-ish a month, 7 year warranty, you cannot really go wrong. You'll save a fortune and still have something to run around in.
  16. And you think anyone is going to pay decent money for that car if it needs that much doing? Tbh most of that I'd be leaving. Front tyres yes, tie rods yes (so you can get the tracking back where it should be). Brakes if you want but you've got plenty of life left in the pads, and discs being lipped is irrelevant if they're still within their minimum thickness, so ask how thick they are or measure yourself. Headlamp level sensor pfft, if it passes MOT who cares? As for the gearbox and steering rack leaks, how bad are they? Clearly not bad enough you've noticed on your driveway I assume, so just keep an eye on them. Anything else you buy, especially if you're shedding, is going to want work doing to it and there's no guarantee it'll be any cheaper. You could be swapping one money pit for another, and the new one will be an awful lot slower... You're really making more of a meal out of this than it needs to be. It's a car, things need sorting, but that doesn't change if you buy a different one.
  17. I don't know, I wasn't there Not impossible that someone else signed for it that works for him, chucked in the back of the unit and forgot about it, but I don't know if he's a one man band still or not. I just find it odd that he would wait almost an entire year to post a reply, and then lie about it on purpose when there's clear evidence showing the opposite. That's what makes me think there's more to it than deliberate deception. I dunno man, I get why you're mad and I'd prob be p*ssed too but there's the rational side of me here that just looks at this whole mess and wonders if you couldn't have done more to get it cleared up quicker before it became 'an ordeal'. Sorry, but that's just my view.
  18. Question: When did you leave your review? Greg did his today, was yours recently too? I'm guessing not, to be fair to you.
  19. Indeed, I absolutely would. However, I might phrase it slightly differently and I don't think I'd be gloating about it quite so hard when showcasing my own faults in the whole process. ^^^ This.
