  1. Correct. You can use anything though, tape measure, bit of wood, whatever is laying around really.
  2. Completely wrong measuring, I'm afraid You need to be measuring from 0.5m away at 45degrees.
  3. Bin them all, get the Ultrac Sessantas or Pilot Sport 2s. You've spent good money on the car, don't scrimp on the tyres now, they're the most important part of the drive. Also don't drive it with those small tyres on the back, you're asking for trouble if you do.
  4. Not asking too much, just a bit unnecessary IMHO. There must be a decent place near you someone local can recommend?
  5. It's only a clutch, the Zed is nothing special so any decent garage will be fine either here or in Germany.
  6. I'd rather have a door full of dents than that thing. Same goes for those god-awful car-bras.
  7. Or you could get a Roadster and have the best of both worlds
  8. Satnav by far. That said, on my old VXR220 the speedo was exact with the satnav, so Vauxhall/Lotus obviously have a lot of faith in their faux-Stack dash.
  9. As said, do not mix tyres full stop.
  10. Look at your speedo. If she was doing 31 then her speedo wouldve been reading about 34-35, which you can easily see. I do agree that's a bit harsh though, camera or plod? And it's only four years, not five.
  11. You drive a Datsun, are thinking about a BMW and you're worried about image??!! Man up, drive something that's fun and forget what every other ignorant sod says about your car

    Which tyre?

RE050s are some of the best tyres you can put on the Zed, stick with them and don't downgrade to the Falkens
  13. So you're in a shed of car with crap brakes and thought it would be a good idea to do 80mph?! They don't have to allow anything. Speeding is a strict liability offence.
  14. I genuinely can't understand why people still speed these days, it's really not worth it.
  15. Guys, if your inserts are too tight just do what I did and grind the lip off of them: They fit in perfectly and easily then.
  16. Ooooh I've seen that pic somewhere else before... /scary cross postings from IMOC I saw your post over there before I did here, promise!
  17. Every track day is 3/4 rpm at 45deg from exhaust, so for the Zed it's 4500rpm and held until they get a sensible reading.
  18. Whilst I can appreciate the need for sanctions as well as the need to not publicly name and shame, I do think it would be a good idea to give details of just what driving over-exuberance gave cause to give the individual bans in place. I've not seen the driver briefing sheet I admit, and this may well be covered in that detail, but certainly to give these details would allow people to see exactly how little you have to go past the line before action is taken. For example, does a doughnut in a car park give the month ban but going broadside out of a corner give the week? I have no idea of the details, nor do I wish to seem as if I'm criticising the team's decision on this, I'm only looking on a viewpoint of clarity.
  19. All I know is that I had the same issue with my Fidanza one, exactly the same symptoms and after a bit of digging that was the solution. I had a garage fit mine so that's why the exact details are a bit hazy!
  20. You could leave the alarm activated really, from my experience the stock sensors are next to useless anyway
  21. On the other hand, why risk it? So many track days are at risk now because of the NIMBYs complaining about noise, and it would be beneficial to all to not give them any more ammunition. Bearing in mind you'll make no extra power at all regardless of what exhaust you're running, is it really worth it? I can understand the want to get the K1 on, but there's really no need to rush it. Without bungs it is bang on the 105dB limit so you'll fail, with bungs you should be fine but do check on the drive-by as with or without bungs you're very likely to fail that.
  22. You've fitted the flywheel in the FWD position, you need to remove it and fit it for an RWD application. You also need to press the caps lock key
