  1. What's an IPDM? /nub_question
  2. No, you don't understand: You asked him for his details and he ignored you and drove off. Get the photos on the PC, right click and select properties. Far right tab IIRC, the time and date and loads of other stuff will be on there.
  3. There will be timestamps on the EXIF data on the photo when you took it with the phone. Also you did ask him for details and he simply ignored you and drove off, remember?
  4. OhmygodIdidn'trealisetheydidCarbonLorrainepadsfortheZedWANTWANTWANTWANT Once these PF ones are gone, I'll be trying these bad boys. Coming from a VXR as well, I know just how good those pads are.

Any chance you measure the volume at 3/4 rpm 45 deg and 0.5m from the tip please?
  7. Why buy a car and not drive it? Don't worry about the next owner, enjoy it for yourself
  8. I had an SLS pass me in a petrol station in Belgium last month, and the old chap driving was good enough to give it some beans as I stood there next to it, much to the displeasure of his wife! It's the first Merc for years that I'd give a testicle to own.
  9. Personally I can't stand either the 458 or the MP4-12C: The Ferrari looks over fussy (although functional) and the McLaren looks like Generic Supercar Drawn By 8 Year Old. I've no doubt they're both amazing to drive, and I'd prefer the Ferrari as I'm an NA over FI man (even if the flat plane crank does sound like a bag of nails), but neither of them really interest me at all. Now the AMG SLS on the other hand... Beautiful looks and a soundtrack to match. DO WANT
  10. Overtaking on the right Bad habit to teach people on track, even if it's your own day. Why change from what everyone else in the world does? That said, seemed pretty good instruction to me and it doesn't look like they limited the car at all. Do you know if any on the day were limited? How much were the 4 laps, and did the price change on what car you drove?
  11. In that case run with it all the way to court. Sure, they'll probably get you on the mis-spacing, but then they could do that anyway and you won't be any worse off than you are now (remember, they'll have to issue a separate ticket for that offence which they can't mention in court in relation to the current 'offence'). Honestly, don't pay up and don't bother going down the station, take it all the way and wait for the look on his face when the judge/magistrate/sheriff/whatever they have in Scotland rips him a new one for being a complete idiot.
  12. Actually, that depends on what he's doing you for. If it's just the size then argue it, if it's a more generic 'plate that doesn't fit within the law' then you'll have to pay it as you've got illegal representation of letters/numbers on it.
  13. If you have the law on your side (and you do), then argue the ticket. Let it go to court and watch them throw it out because the officer in question hasn't a clue what he's talking about.
  14. I think it's the wing mirrors that don't really work. While it's not to my particular taste, the rest of it doesn't look that bad.
  15. Tbh I wouldn't consider running a 32bit OS anymore these days as all the niggles of when they first came out have pretty much been eradicated with Vista and Win7. Certainly I've had no troubles over the last few years Also Acer laptops are ace (excuse the pun!), I've had about 10 off them for work and personal use in the last few years and I'll happily go there again.
  16. I set mine for the redline but that's purely because I don't want it flashing during normal driving. As Greekman said, it's too small and unnoticeable to be anything other than a bit of a gimmick. Shame, really.
  17. Clio has far more personality than the other two combined. M3 is a more rounded and accomplished drive.
  18. You know that mixing tyres is a bad idea, right?
  19. Just me with my very black sense of humour that found some of it quite funny then? Obviously the real life stuff not quite so humourous, but watching the acted-up stuff made me chuckle. So much of it was the pedestrians fault too for not looking when they cross the road properly. If that had been just a clip of the real life incidents then it might have hit home a bit more, but the over-the-top stuff just doesn't work with me. Probably not a very popular view and I expect to be slated for it, but there you go.
