  1. My point exactly. You'd have to be stark raving bonkers to consider a 350Z of any kind over a 997 RS.
  2. And so expensive that they'll only be bought by the elite few, and then locked up and never tracked as they don't want to damage their investment Nice piece of engineering, but miles too quick to be of any real use unless you can afford to hire an entire track to yourself. A GT3RS would be a considerably better buy.
  3. What? How so? If you spin an RWD car you can't recover either. A spin is what happens when you've lost all control and by that definition you can't recover as it's already gone pear-shaped.
  4. Of course you can, it just depends on how out of shape it is and how quick you can react. It's not particularly hard to get the rear of a hot hatch hatch wagging, it's just easier to hold in an RWD car.
  5. That was kind of my point. I'd rather have a car that was more lively with more front end grip, the same way I have my 350Z set up.
  6. Not necessarily. If it were me I'd put them on the fronts, simply because I would want more grip on the wheels moving the car as well as doing the steering. You may end up with a safer car your way as it would understeer with greater aplomb, but there's no real need to do it that way.
  7. Psst, think that's a Weissman not a Morgan Glad you had a good trip, looks like a blast!

    which oil

Magnatec is about as much use as pouring cat **** into your engine. 0w40 is a bit thin IMHO and you'll probably get the same issues, I'd go with one of the other recommended oils on this page.
  9. Go on then. I'd be happy to speak to them, but an email address would be even better. As soon as you mix tyres, you alter the balance of the car. Having two different different grip levels is bad enough, but three? And mixing across an axle? Sorry, but there's no way any manufacturer is going to recommend that last one in particular. It doesn't matter if it's a 206 or a Veyron, 70mph is still 70mph and accidents happen, and I certainly would want to give myself every chance of sorting the car out should an incident occur. Someone in your line of work really should know this, it's very basic stuff.
  10. Are you a complete idiot? Do you have no comprehension on how tyres work? Sorry to sound harsh, but that's just the most stupid piece of advice I've heard on here in a long time. If mixing tyres front and rear is bad, then just how suicidal do you have to be to have three different makes of tyre on one car?
  11. ^^^ This. It's peanuts to get it done properly.
  12. No bailiff would be able to take the case due to the reasons stated above. Whoever came to your door wasn't a proper bailiff, and you still shouldn't have paid regardless.
  13. DONT DO THIS! been down the same route,£50 fine turned into £455!!!! bailiffs banging on the door, had lots of hassle but got it down to £100,that was a private firm too, appeal it in writing but if you lose just pay it,it aint worth the hassle even if your in the right,my princables nearly cost me £455 and caused me a headache. Must have been a council ticket then, as a judge won't write out a court order for bailiffs given that they have no idea who the driver was. They've sent the letter to the registered keeper who is in no way legally bound to disclose who the driver was, and as such they have no one to claim against. Husky, seriously mate, don't pay. And you can't pay in 5000 pennies either, as they don't have to accept it.
  14. The fasting might not be too much of a problem (assuming it's only for that day and she stock up on carbs the previous days), but doing any kind of distance running without water certainly is and really shouldn't be encouraged at all. Best of luck to her and all that, but please tell her to take on fluids before and during the run.
  15. Tbh if you fall for something like that then you deserve all you get.
  16. They're about £80 for the slave and £90 for the master from my local Nissan dealer. I'd go there personally if I were you. Well, not to my local one as clearly that's a bit of a trek, but your local one should be fine.
  17. Has she taken medical advice about the fasting? No food is probably okay, but surely no water is going to put an immense stress on a body when running in heat? Not taking anything away from her of course.
  18. And that's exactly what both answers have given you That's exactly what I use for lubricant, nothing else.
  19. Meguiars Last Touch Detailer, as found here. Lasts for aaaaaaaaages. Failing that, if you're desperate any of the detailers that Halfrauds sell will do (I think they do an NXT one as well).
  20. If the goal is to make it look pretty then spend the lot on a full correction with Envy Valeting or similar and then keeping it topped up. It'll make the car look a lot better than anything else will IMHO.
  21. Don't go from 6th to 5th? Go straight to 4th, do not pass go, do not collect £200 etc.
  22. Chuck it in the bin. Don't respond, don't do anything apart from bin it.
  23. A week is nothing, mine often sits for two-three doing nothing if I've got other stuff on. If it was being left for a few months I might worry about it, but certainly not just a week. Fill it up or don't fill it up, it really doesn't make any difference over a short period.
  24. Missing a leading number one from that figure I suspect. Which would then make it overpriced, but a bit more sensible than £5K.
  25. The Zed will still feel slower than the Supra due to the power delivery, if you want it to feel fast you'll have to turbo it to the same power level. That said, the 350 will in reality be a quicker car due to the more modern chassis being more exploitable and being able to get on the throttle quicker with more predictable output levels when exiting corners.
