    accelera tyres

T1R are equivalent to the 452s, and I wouldn't put them on my car either. VUS, RE050A or MPS2 or bust.
  3. Don't worry, you're not missing much

If only we had a tyre review thread...
  5. If you value your ears, don't bother. The sound is utterly appalling, it's like living back in the Eighties but not in a good way. The sound quality will be horrendous, but it's your money... I learnt the hard way just to get a decent head unit in the first place.
  6. Bit late to ask now if you've already bought it Seems a decent enough spec to me. Tbh anything from the Karcher range will do for general car washing stuff.
  7. In short, no. In reality, yes but you can either do it via cassette adaptor (vile sound) or FM transmitter (slightly less vile sound) or by doing a bit of soldering yourself (haven't heard the finished product myself). Tbh your best bet is just to change the head unit for something decent, it really is the best way forward. I used to have an Alpine system in my car and it was fantastic, but you can just buy whatever fits your budget. Really don't try and do it on the cheap using the cassette adaptor or FM transmitter though, as you're throwing good money away. Do it once, do it properly. And welcome along!
  8. If you don't like it here, and the few rules we have, then by all means feel free to leave
  9. Please bear in mind the 912s are very much bottom end tyres, the kind of thing you'd put on a Fiesta or poverty spec Golf, when driving on them. Just be more aware of their limitations than you normally would.
  10. Beautiful Why was the roof up though? I don't see any rain!
  11. Haven't read TG for a year or so now, utter garbage. Evo is by far the better read, however if you're after the really big exclusives with the best photography in the business and the most insightful editorial, then you really need to be reading Car. Knocks every other motoring magazine into a cocked hat, utterly superb magazine. Evo still has a fair way to go until it's back to how good it was a couple of years ago IMHO.
  12. It's all with how you're dealt with when you do have an issue. Case in point: My 911. Picked it up from the dealership, really excited, drove it home and could immediately feel that the alignment was a mile out. Due to the trackday I had booked the following weekend I didn't have time to take it back to the OPC so decided to ring a local specialist and find out who he used for alignments and stuff. Long story short I got it all sorted out myself back to factory spec for £90 which was a bargain and the guy did a fantastic job. I told (not complained) the OPC who apologised profusely and I left it with him. Got a phonecall back a day later offering me a free trackday at Silverstone driving any Porsche I want, all on their cost. Now that is what I call good service. A dodgy alignment I can live with (although it shouldn't be happening on a car costing that much), but having made good they've ensured that I'm now telling the world what great service you get from them. It's the making up that counts for me.
  13. This. A million times this. I always listen to what people have to say with regards to cars, both in terms of the vehicle itself and also any associated service, but I'm also confident enough in my own assessment to make my own mind up sometimes. "350Zs are plasticky and the service is awful!" A common complaint. However, whilst they're spot-on about the former (and anyone who says different needs to either put some glasses on or take off their rose-coloured ones) I had absolutely no issues with my local dealer at all, and in fact I'd say they were probably the best dealership I've ever dealt with in my life so far. I genuinely don't have a single complaint to make against them, they're that good. As Sarnie says, there's a lot of nonsense bandied about when it comes to cars: Some of it is true, some of it is exaggerated, and some of it is nonsense. Listen to opinions, take it all in, but make your own mind up.

Thank god for that! You going to do the install and time the difference? Go on, you know you want to...!

Please tell me that's without the optional 45min install...
  18. Jonny, Sarah and the team at BaT are the best TDO I've ever used. A friendlier and more professional bunch of people you'd struggle to find.
  19. RE050As are a billion times better than the 452s. They're not even in the same league. At 3mm all round I'd be tempted to change the lot in this weather, but if you've only got the cash now then just doing the rears is fine.

    Rim Wax

It's good, but FK1000P is better.
  22. Has this actually sold at all in the last 4 years it's been up for sale, or is it still the same bloke flogging it?
  23. Muddy wellies I get, but black marker to touch up bits on black trim is a pretty good idea. That's what I've used to colour in black wheels after they've been kerbed but before I can get to do a proper refurb on them.
  24. Happy birthday you old sod! Have a great day mate!

    Coilovers

You already have coilovers at the front anyway, and even if you change suspension you'll still only have coilovers at the front. Coilover = The spring (coil) sits over the damper. The stock system is like this.
