  1. Probably, most people who end up in 911s are idiots.
  2. Greekman's right, the PS3s are aimed at the lower market and don't share too many of the PS2s characteristics. That's not to say they're bad, but they wouldn't be my choice. Michelin tried to get a bit too clever with their branding on this one and confused a few people methinks.
  3. Since selling the VXR really. As fun as turbo cars are in a straight line, there's nothing like the purity of the throttle response on a nice NA engine, the Zed woke me up to that.
  4. Unless you've got money to burn I'd get one that's not car-specific, or at least one that can be transferred in the future and doesn't look daft.
  5. Bland on the outside, stylish on the inside, and they shift like buggery. Personally I wouldn't buy one as I've an anti-turbo thing going on, but I have no doubt that it'll be a better drive than the 458.
  6. Some people have had issues with their TCS systems when running 40 profile tyres in the stock sizes and as such I used to give the blanket warning that it was best not to use them as the car clearly didn't like it very much. However, I have run R888s on both road and track in 40 profile on the Zed, and I had absolutely no issues at all. As such, I personally believe that driving style is more an issue with the TCS than tyre profile, as the more I got used to the car the less the TCS ever kicked in for me and that was before I swapped to the R888s. If you're smooth on the controls and very rarely have the TCS flash up at you (unless you've been deliberately brash on the throttle) on the dash then I can't see any reason why you shouldn't run 40 profile tyres on the 350Z, assuming you keep the stagger front to rear the same.
  7. Weight is the biggest non-human factor involved here. Strip the entire interior, exchange seats for ones that don't weigh a ton, swap silly heavy exhaust for a lighter one, and get some really lightweight wheels on there too.

    Window Tints

The maximum legal tint is 30% for the door glass, and as black as you want for the rear glass and hatch. Anything darker than that is both illegal and stupid.
  9. Didn't know this, but thank god! I'm assuming then that they're promoting the T1-Sport as their new sporty tyre then, which from the tread pattern alone looks to be a much improved design. Not quite available in Zed sizes, but I'd happily run 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 on the car.
  10. Best tyre I've ever used, both on the Zed and in general. They are worth every penny, and will do more for the handling and speed of your car than any exhaust or lowering springs ever could.
  11. Mixed tyres front and back The car's come up an absolute treat though, looks immaculate in those pics
  12. I'll let it go this time, but please ensure that any photos you put up in the future have the required piece of paper on them, regardless of photographer
  13. Looks like others have been stung as well searching the interwebs. 01312 082 025 has been listed as a possible phone number for them, worth a shot?
  14. Haven't watched it for about 3 years now as they stopped doing anything that interested me. I enjoy watching the old ones on Dave, but the new entertainment-first format doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. I genuinely don't miss it at all.
  15. First off, your tyre supplier is talking nonsense as the 350Zs have never been supplied with any of the Yokos, only ever Bridgestone as I suspect you already know. Never used Advansports myself, I did look into them briefly as an alternative to the MPS2 however the extra cost put me off. From your post I suspect you want tyres at the cheaper end of the market, so if that's the case I'd beg, borrow or steal the money to get the VUS. I'm aware of the supply problems, but unless you're desperate that's where I'd spend my money. That said, if I've misjudged it and you're looking at tyres in the Advansport price-range, then you'll not find better than the MPS2. The RE050As are very close as well, and I suspect you're getting dodgy wet handling characteristics because you've got mixed tyres front and back: Swapping to RE050As on the front will cure the understeer you're getting in the wet.

    Japspeed K1

There's a picture there?! I thought my monitor was on the blink and I'd got a couple of failed pixels! Seriously though, it's only going to help your sale if you change that photo out for something people can actually see.
  17. Or you could learn to shut a door properly I turned my interior light off after doing exactly the same thing as you mate, it's easily done and that was the easiest way for me to solve it, as I couldn't trust myself not to make exactly the same mistake again. On your way home tonight pop into Halfrauds and buy yourself one of their booster packs, they're about £90 and will jump start just about anything. They also come with a power socket and a lamp on them, so a bit of a bargain really.
  18. Quick, someone feed the hamster!
  19. I did the 'Ring to my house on one tank, which is about 430 miles. I thought that was quite good going.
  20. As much as I always say that you buy a car for you and not for the next buyer, be very careful here. You might be happy with the response you get from the seller (forget the DVLA, useless shower of b*stards), but then you've got to explain that discrepancy to the person you sell the car onto. With the amount of quality Zeds out there right now, I'd walk away.
  21. Really? Fair enough, didn't know that. I still bet the presentation isn't a patch on what Sky give you though. It irritated the snot out of me when the EU go involved in this and made the Premier League split their TV packages between Sky and Setanta, as all that actually meant for the end viewer was that they had to pay twice for something they used to get all in. How does that make the viewer any better off? It's still the same now with ESPN, and having had the misfortune to watch some of their dire coverage I now just stick with Sky and miss a few matches a season.
  22. I think it's a terrible idea. Sky have revolutionised football coverage and took all the risks, so it's only fair that they get the lions share of the coverage now. Now that pubs can go anywhere for their coverage, that's going to be a fair whack of money not going back into the English game, which cannot be a good thing. They've deliberately not put games on live on a Saturday to help clubs maximise their gate revenues, which is the right way to do it IMHO. I'd rather pay for the quality of Sky than have some foreign bloke nattering away for less.
  23. Got mine today, 'bout bloody time too It's gone straight up in the kitchen next to Jo's cute cat one, but I know which is better
