They're actually pretty reliable cars underneath, it's all quite basic stuff so few electronics to go wrong. The ally rads are the worst bit, the OEM ones use plastic ends which fail spectacularly but there's a wealth of aftermarket all-ally options out there for the same cost as OEM.

If you're ever feeling really flush, try the Endless fluid. It's the best bar none, and is what the F1/LMS/GT1 guys use in their cars. Expensive, but utterly fantastic and nigh-on unboilable.

I use a regular camcorder (well, a Sony HD one I pinch off my dad!) and a clamp. I use the ultra clamp from these guys, but you can get whatever suits your needs.

I used to run a VXR220 which is the same chassis, albeit more like an Exige than an Elise. Rover or Toyota engined? Rover suffers from the infamous HGF issues, the Yota is stronger but a more revvy drive and can suffer from oil starvation on track. Long tail S2 roofs are fiddly and can leak, short tail roofs much less so. They're rattly, cold and noisy, and yet the best handling car you are ever likely to drive. Aircon is almost a must-have, and if a daily drive then I'd want the touring pack as a minimum, and preferably the sports pack too. Super touring and super sports packs were expensive options and are highly desirable IMHO. Stereo will always be rubbish regardless ofwhat you do, however it can be improved. The car will need a thorough checking by a specialist to ensure there's no damage to the chassis and to make sure no repairs have been done to it, once it's damaged you'll need a new one at £15K before labour (so basically a write off). Clams are £2K each (there's two of them) so keep that in mind, insurance fixes can be costly! Very light on brakes and tyres unless being tracked regularly, don't bother with cheapy tyres as you'll kill the handling, budget £600 for a set. It will freeze on the inside in the winter and it'll be freezing cold and blustery when driving with the roof off. All that said, I'd buy another in an instant, they're simply the best driver's cars available and really get under your skin.

Find someone who is either a student or a teacher and purchase via them and the online Adobe shop a copy of Photoshop at much reduced rates. £140 will get you the best image program available and it's all you'll ever need. Technically you're flouting Adobe's rules by doing that, but at least you're paying for it and not yarring a copy.

It's clever and it works well, but until they make a game that either makes proper use of the 3D effect or is vaguely interesting for me then I'll pass ta.

Pilot Sport 3 are not a patch on the PS2, don't be fooled by the name. PSS should be available imminently and will almost certainly be better, that's what's going on the 911 next anyway. If you're in dire need of quality tyres then go for the RE050A, as they're near as dammit as good as the PS2 are.

not yet Maybe that might be the best course of action then. Either they won't care and you're fine, or they do care and then you've been up front about it. I agree with the majority on here, they almost certainly won't care, but why take the risk?

Don't mix tyres. See the Sticky in Tyres as to why this is a bad idea. If you can afford it then go for either Pilot Sport 2s or R888s all round, or just match what you've got.

Yup, especially with that kind of power. Although that picture is 100% photochopped I believe. It's not a bad car if you like that kind of thing. It's just a shame that Audi seem to have killed the RS brand almost completely now.

Blimey, you don't want much in just 2 hours do you??!! If you only want to change two then you have to stick with OEM, so either Nissan who will rape you or Zmanalex or R35Lee would be who I would see. If you want to go aftermarket you'll have to change all four, and then it's just down to how deep your pockets are or what you're going to use the car for. Time to change is about half a day if you're in no rush.

Try putting car stereo head units into Google and go crazy.

Only works in US cars, UK & Jap cars don't have the spare connector. You either need to do the tape hack or replace the head unit, I strongly suggest the latter.

You can't get a DA hot enough to do any damage to the paint, so as long as you don't use sand as a cutting compound you'll be fine. An average guy with a DA will remove more swirls than a pro with his hands. They really are that good, see my recent thread to prove that even a numpty can get some incredible results with one!

As a plumber, I can confirm that the ladies toilets are always a much worse place to be than the gents. Much, much worse. Although nothing quite beats the taste of a misplaced ****-crystal when jetting urinal pipework
