  1. Nice bit of fettling on my pi**y wet last day off. New Deore steel granny ring, Middleburn Hardened alloy middle ring, new KMC chain and XT cassette. Plus the icing on the cake: new DMR Vault flat pedals in gunmetal, MMmmmmmmm. Test ride will have to wait though, looks like I might get a few weather days this week though...
  2. lol, retro barge alert! Does it waft along as good as it looks like it would do?
  3. Should be a nice surprise for you
  4. +1 for many of us, whether we stay with ZEDs or otherwise +10000000 Oh, and *cough* G35/37 *cough*
  5. sell the 350? If your looking at other cars like the boxster then your Z isnt doing it for you is it? The Zed doesn't need to do it for him, so I doubt it's going to be sold....
  6. Good effort, but engine fail!
  7. Most people who knock boxsters haven't driven one (including me, but I don't knock 'em) The current shape ones do look a lot better than the 996-era ones though. Dr. AK prescribes a nice long test drive and a course of motor sport heritage pills!
  8. Vorsprung Durch Technik hey? Oh wait, thats the other lot...
  9. Did you not spot him sooner Mike? I was well confused when I approved his posts!
  10. *sigh* I'm right with you there Mike.
  11. mate, I'm not at sellafield any more, but I used to see it in the queue now and again when I cycled past. Nice parking in the back of Aldi BTW!
  12. We're skipping Leeds (again) this year too. Just too expensive these days. Would rather just go and see fewer acts individually (we have to travel to a city to see gigs, so normally stay over). Leeds 2009 was good though, enjoyed Billy Talents headliner in the tent, much much better live than on record.
  13. An amazing first time ride today, hike a bike up Grizedale pike behind Whinlatter, then one big descent along the ridge to Hobcarton End and down into the forest. It's a classic "hidden" off piste run at Whinlatter and it really did turn out to be a thriller. Had a few sketchy moments on the way down, but survived, and the final singletrack blast through the woods is great. Only downside? about 1.5 hours of climbing and hiking to the top, then a mere 15 mins down, including pausing for a few snaps! Thats Lakes biking though I guess. Heading up, the ride takes you along the ridge line in the distance, not the nearer track. Top of the Red South, and hop over the fence to see the trudge ahead: 45 minutes of carrying later, the top! Exciting trail in prospect: Views: Top part of the downhill, loose switchbacks: Ridge riding: No pics of the wooded bit, but its a great trail, and as fast as you dare!
  14. No, just a brighter shade with a very subtle coloured clearcoat. There's never been a metallic red for zeds, i think it would look classy.
  15. yeah, don't listen to us! Some very questionable tastes on here But if you must listen... A nice simple metallic red should be really nice.
  16. Are you normally this excitable?
  17. Jealous, very jealous! I've been on the boat for everyone of their UK dates over the past few years! Ahh nightmare bud Might be a daft question, but are you in the navy then?? At the risk of rubbing it in, it was the dates when they had no support but played 'Clarity' and 'Bleed American' in full.......sorry I will shut my trap now! What are you thinking about the new King Blues album?? I'm not totally convinced......but must admit I haven't quite forgiven them for the Whiskers add yet......! JIMMY! Love a bit of JEW, haven't seen this tour though. Is it a new album? Lexx is in the merchant navy mate, telling our own Martinmac which end of a paintbrush to hold.
  18. Think I might end up keeping the Zed that long!
  19. Nooooooooo! Doubt there's a finer example than this, I'd say it's brilliant VFM considering the tasteful mods and condition. You still shouldn't be selling though. We need to keep the sprinkle quota up!
  20. Cheers boys, will look at the AV forums. Was interested in opinions of sets people had bought too though. Not many inputs needed, will never be getting SKY, and there's no plans for freeview HD round here as far as I know. just possibly a 360 in the future, I have an AV receiver, but it doesn't have HDMI, and the ability to watch downloaded content would be nice.
