That was quite a few pies ago though wasn't it Chris! I paid just over £1500, more like 1600 by the time I picked it up. not bad at all I think. The drivetrain is well worn in, but having just replaced the hardtail one I might as well leave it while its still shifting ok, and then just replace the cogs and chain in a couple of months time.

haha, what happened to the CommenFail? Another thing I was going to say is that the old Remedy is probably not any heavier than my hardtail! The guy i bought it off reckoned it was just under 30lbs, and it feels it. I'm still off work till saturday, so hopefully going to go and show it some good lakes routes this week

Collected the machine today from Whitchurch near Chester. Then a quick maiden ride this evening. No shock set up or anything just get out and ride! Only point of note is the forks are 36 TALAS not Kashimas - my bad! And the rims are nice DT Swiss jobs. Been looking at too many adverts Initial reports are great, very plush - as you would expect with like 6 pivots! Needs some setup tweaks and personalisation, and ditch the bloomin Conti Mountain Kings pronto, they are still terrible tyres! Would like some wider bars at some point too.

And how long did anyone really think that would last? Again, this is only what has happened to other sports over the last 20 years. Look what Sky has done for Darts, Rugby League, 20/20 Cricket, Golf and Speedway. All sports that 10 years ago were lucky to get a 10 minute highlight slot on BBC2......... People see Sky as this big bully who comes in and buys everything and forces it to pay @*!# loads to watch stuff we used to watch for free. They don't. They take an old tired shell of a sport, chuck a load of money at it, get the best commentators, revamp it and turn it into something worth watching. As Dan say's, they never made a sport worse to watch, so if they can improve it, then thats superb imo Recon you two are in the minority.

Get a ramp inspection at a local garage Ian.

You'll get 40-50mpg out of the regular 1.2. Twin air maybe about 40. Fiat recently stopped taking orders for the twinair for a bit, so they could "adjust" the fuel consuption issue. No one was getting anywhere near the 60+mpg claims. It does feel much quicker than the regular 1.2 though.

The suspension is like the rest of the Fiat range - basic! Don't get any daft 16 or 17 inch wheels as you'll knock your fillings out. Other than that, best go for a drive!

People are waaaay too hung up on the mileage.

I don't think the standard setup is very harsh, if anything its better at speed. As yours is lowered it might just be a lack of available wheel travel to take care of bumps. Some new dampers appropriate to your ride height might be an idea.
