In my shed today, I've fitted the new rings, chain, cassette, and broken bit on the e-thirteen, any it runs like a dream now. Don't know if I'll get to ride it properly before going back to work on saturday though Also in good news, other best bike buddy Steve is coming up from Manc on the weekend 20/21 August for some off-piste Grizedale action, just in case any of you are in the area!

Have fun! If you have your wheels off now and again you'll soon spot if anythings wrong. It's pretty unlikely unless you are giving it some serious aggro.

Like a much more comfortable version of my On-one! Not too surprising really, near the same weight, same bar length (for now) same head angle. Talas forks are lovely (I wouldn't have bought the TALAS version myself) but you really notice how much lower the BB is if you drop it, and the additional pedal strikes. TBH I wish it was a bit slacker, but it's basically "just" a 5 inch trail bike really. That Nukeproof Mega/Five might still be on next year! At least i've got a load of compatible components now

It's ok, I know you're a generous soul! Anyway, did another wee ride round Whinlatter yesterday. Looks like the drivetrain won't take the combination of dirt and wear, the granny is goosed and just wants to chainsuck all the time, so just went and ordered the necessary bits from Chainreaction. Hopefully they should be here tomorrow. Need to keep an eye one the bash guard/chain device though, it's a good dirt trap and fiddly to clean. Oh, and sorted the tyres out too. An optimistic combo of Highroller front and Larsen rear No, we haven't been getting the hot sunny southern weather!

I've still got a pair of D521s from about 2003 too! always handy for backup wheels, don't think they've ever needed truing either!

Yeah, I know there's sag on top of that. They are both approx 66degs static, but I know On-one quote 68, so that must be sagged. I don't wan't to get it dirty, there's so many pivots on the thing!

I bought one too, plus the snow foam gun from Tim@Envy. You get two different pressure nozzles, the strong one will take the surface muck off stone and concrete, but obviously not as big an area as a more powerful washer. Good enough for 50 sheets anyway!
