As you all know, an epic bout of decent weather has gripped the country, right in the middle of my 10 off. By my watch, I make that bike o'clock!
Route started down in Braithwaite at the bottom of Whinlatter Pass, took in 2 solid hours of climbing, and topped out with a hike-a-bike on to Grizedale Pike (again). This is the first time the Remedy has been up here, so I took it down into Coledale on the challenging loose tracks. After reaching the bottom, I hauled all the way back up Whinlatter pass again, and stopped for tea and cake. I still had time to spare, so did a quick lap of the North Loop and descended down the little secret valley called Seldom Seen, back to Braithwaite and back to the car!
A good 4 hour flogging in all, with I-don't-want-to-know-how-many feet of ascent (maybe 3000? )
Piccies!
