  2. You didn't say in the first post that you have had a decent alignment check done. Have you?
  3. viewtopic.php?f=62&t=54483&p=786599#p786599
  4. Whos offered? Need any more help?
  5. Great stuff Ian, must get down there myself sometime when i have the cash.
  6. I normally use either inner tube or grip tape for the chainstay. You'll have to loose the big ring if you want to run a bashguard.
  7. The beauty of the interweb! Hooked up with Pete and Jim yesterday, a couple of guys from the Moray MTB Club, who then showed me some top-class woody singletrack action in the woods near Elgin. It's something I don't get a lot off back home, and with all the wet roots and stuff was very interesting! Hoping to get out again with them one evening this week, took a couple of pics, but nothing of the real singletrack as I was (as usual) too busy on-sighting wet rocky drops and squeezing between trees!
  8. Looks clean Geoff, need to show it some singletrack now Keep an eye on ebay and singletrackworld for upgrades, it gets addictive!
  9. Hohoho, you better have a good excuse boy!
  10. On behalf of Fran and I, Come on the Wales!
  11. I stick with my local Camskill. For my winter tyres on the punto they even give me a discount because the wheels weren't attached to a car. As for the zed, I'm definitely exchanging fun and grip for longevity if you're reckoning 20k from a set of tyres. I've done 19k miles from new and halfway through my second set of rears.
  12. Pet farts are normally sickening because of the tinned food.
  13. Don't think so mate, although last time I was in the Zed in Scotland was on the Hoon in early september and we may have passed through Ballater on the way to Knockhill. Was a few more Zeds than just me though! Was it a Rosso red, or a Chilli?
  14. Beavis on one side, the rest of 7 billion on the other? Just a reminder......... your country were on the side of Nazi Germany Kapow! Ooh, thats a low blow Dave!
  15. Oh christ don't do that, the whole world might actually split in two!
  16. My god. £45 a month?!!!! Jesus.. you can get the galaxy s2 or even the iphone 3gs for £15 a month. Thats a huge increase over the competitors phones. And that'll be for what, a minimum 2 year contract? It's just soooo not worth it.
  17. First dusting of snow on the Nevis range and Cairngorm yesterday, brought in by the cold wind which is blowing in from the north east. The Daily Mail was right! The article was very conveniently vague though. Hardly unusual for snow to be on the ground on the hills this time of year.
  18. I managed to get booked in a b&b in Innerleithen for next weekend. Not too much choice in the Peebles area strangely, but eventually Laterooms came up with the answers so I called the b&b direct. Did a four hour ride yesterday taking in nearly all the trails in Whiteash and Ordie, some fine singletrack and the Gully monster in Ordie is brilliant. The track clings to a twisting vertical wall!
  19. I'm up in Buckie with workat the minute, but todays been called off, so looks like i'd better put my bike back together Then investigate the local trails - the Moray Monster http://www.forestry.gov.uk/forestry/INFD-6MRFE5 http://www.forestry.gov.uk/pdf/Monstertrailsmapwithkey.pdf/$FILE/Monstertrailsmapwithkey.pdf
  20. No-one anywhere on the interweb that I can see has ever said that. Thinking about this a bit more, would it be wrong to compare Job (and Gates for that matter) in the same breath as Bell, Turing etc? Granted, the physical invention of something is different from a software invention, but can we honestly say that they haven't revolutionised our lives too? I'm not sure if I'm pushing the connection there too much, but I can't find an argument against it either. I think the main strength of Steve and Apple was always to improve and find novel uses for what went before rather than pure invention. There were plenty of mp3 players before the ipod, just non that were as easy on the eye as they were to use.
  21. Please avail yourself of the requisite knowledge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Placebo Then we'll talk...
