  1. Could always just drive it home at stupid o'clock in the morning/night. No traffic about and you can go as slow as you like
  2. Yeah I have a Dell Inspiron the same vintage as yours. I've installed windows 7 on it, and TBH its still perfectly fine for what i want, mostly surfing and basic photo stuff. (would still like a new one though! )
  3. Booo! Was looking forward to spending your money!
  4. Yeah but you were very good in your day bud
  5. Not many 19" inch laptops about if you want another - no wonder really, that's defiantly desktop replacement territory and there's nearly no point having a battery with a screen that big! Acer do one for a grand, which is a bit, but its also a huge spec (1GB dedicated graphics RAM alone!): http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Acer_Ethos_8951G_Windows_7_Laptop_LX.RJ402.033/version.asp More in budget would be a LED lit 17" screen and current hardware, ie, dual core processor and about 4GB RAM.
  6. Couple of us in here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=38473
  7. A quick google reveals your screen lines were a common problem with that model (required replacement by the look of it). As it's out of warranty by some margin and 6 years old, I don't fancy your chances of repair unless you find another one to dismantle. Just get a new one Ian, things have moved on a bit since you got yours.
  8. Brilliant again. Well done Big Dave and the BBC natural history unit.
  9. Our Cafe by the lake was featured in the Times the other week as one of the top "Food with a View" places.
  10. What's so bad about Win7? I use it both at work and at home and suffer no problems, far better than Vista. I heard 7 was a little better than Vista (Isn't 7 based on XP anyway?) XP Pro... the ONLY decent windows OS ... but Ian, you should STILL buy a Mac Windows 7 is the best Microsoft operating system by far to date and is much better than Vista As long as you are on current hardware so there is driver support, Win 7 is great. Anyway Jim, what Macbook can you get for £750 or less new? None! Maybe for twice that...
  11. Nice effort mate Shall I send you some tyre gel?
  12. Sounds like it has one of those "problem" K2 exhausts fitted, they were always wonky.
  13. For that budget nearly any laptop will be fine for photos and a bit of editing. The most importatnt think is you don't load it down with anti-virus and rubbish software. Just pick a big name and you'll be fine.
  14. Back OT, the gaming rig was amazing. The omni treadmill really took it to the next level!
  15. LOL, I was waiting for that... Why don't they just call it vinyl?
  16. In a word, no! Why not just PX it, would be miles cheaper.
  17. Ok, but needs matching callipers if you're going that way.

    Focus ST

You won't get near that 30mpg except on long runs. Like the Zed, sub 25mpg around town is normal. As is appetite for front tyres if you make use of the power.
  19. On wet rock and general winter slime, there is definitely a big difference. Of course drag and wear rates are also correspondingly higher too. The normal 60s are good all year round, but we ride a lot of bare slate and rock round here, so the super tackys can make a big improvement. For loose, mud and forest, it's obviously less of an issue. Anyways, at that price it hardly matters anyway!
  20. A7 Nicolson St. White R35 GTR with plate *** GTR Also on the M74 northbound, an Azure 350Z with a Boofsquire rack and bike, first one i've seen.
  21. 1) The Nismo exhaust. Closely followed by the bodykit. 2) The thin paint!
