  1. I would expect the CPS would stuggle to prove a public interest case if the kid didn't break a leg or anything.
  2. Not true. Nothing to do with crashing. It's purely an excess weight problem.
  3. A heavy landing with the wings full of fuel could over stress them, it's not just a weird excuse!
  4. Welcome back mate, Zed is obviously fine for track use, but if you are going to be a regular track dayer it might be better to get something a lot lighter in the first place. Of course if you love the Zed then just be prepared for the costs associated with tracking a heavy car. Look in the projects area for a couple of examples.
  5. Yeah, but I meant that its one of the many convertables that just doesn't work with the roof up or indeed a hardtop on. Roof down, fine looking car, no problem:

    R34 Perfection

Perfect for the Netherlands you mean
  7. Nice pics. I'll never see a 1 series hatch as an object of desire though, 1M coupe however....
  8. Can't add anything much Stan, but hope she gets sorted out. Sounds like theres plenty of possibilities to explore for treatment
  9. The hardtop just looks plain weird compared to the coupe. Makes the proportions all wrong:
  10. 30s are pretty good really, you're much surer of yourself and where you are going in life. Happy Birthday.
  11. I use my HTC in landscape mode, and find it ok most of the time. Agreed, clicking accuracy can be tricky with all the small buttons, but i just use the doubletap zoom function to get round it. I guess you 'd have to have a whip round for Chris I or Neo to develop something, hope you've got deep pockets!
  12. Now that would be far more entertaining Like this one? If you look, you can see the solid multi-tonne lump of the generator hit the ground near the srevice van!
  13. No, you're right, its just poor engineering. That Vestas turbine design is over 15 years old now though, and things have moved on. What ever pitch system they have obviously isn't very fail safe, and if it fails in high winds with some angle still on the blades, they are going to still do what they were designed for - to catch wind!
  14. Oddly enough it's the same model as the one that caught fire at the (Nissan?) factory in Sunderland the other year. That suffered from a pitch failure and caught fire from the overheating mechanical brake disk. For the most part turbines rely on aerodynamic braking from the huge drag you can summon by putting the blades at 90 degrees to the wind.
  15. A sort video clip from the turbine fire you may have seen in the news last night. I think its taken after the fire, just spinning on its tower! It's a Vestas one btw!
  16. My sister has a Staffy at her house in Leeds. It would just try and lick them to death!
  17. Yep, but gearbox and diff oil change isn't on the Nissan service schedule at all, its just precautionary.
  18. Would have thought they would use a standard blue 16A 240V "caravan" plug in this country. There is a different standard EV plug in the states though- SAE J1772
