Two days after fulfilling his dream, Dane was involved in an accident and suffered critical head injuries, placing him in a coma for five days. Which tracks do you mean Immy? Most of the snow will probably disappear in the next week, as it's forecast to get warmer. As it's that time of year, I'm getting some bike bits for Xmas. Mostly wear and tear stuff really - a new rear mech for the On-one, couple of new shifters, then a straight seatpost to replace the layback one my Trek came with. Fran has promised me a GoPro camera too! So that should be interesting.

Veeeery interesting ride round Whinners today. Snow. Lots of snow. It's a good job there was three of us, as without the banter it would have been a right test of patience! We ended up pushing a full half of the course, even some of the downhill bits! It was insane. Total time 2 hours just to do the red north, it's normally about 1hr - 1 1/4hrs... Switchbacks Views Rare moment of riding. Didn't last long! Winter wonderland

I ventured out into the wilds for a wee walk up Wasdale to the stretcher box up at Styhead Tarn. Wind must have been NE as there was loads of cloud backing up on the east side but Wasdale itself was sunny. Sorry Chris, Fran took the Pandamonium to work this morning, so I was left with the Punto. It still has winters on, so it was fine for all the slush on the roads. Temps are just above 0 still, so it is melting fast lower down now. Took some piccies though!

I'm aware how much other folk have had But were are only a couple of miles from the coast here. Might go and have a walk up a hill now to get in the christmas spirit
