  1. Don't have any good ones really, I was going to leave that to Chris so that I didn't get into any trouble posting un-vetted pics!
  2. I think you are mistaking me for someone who's bothered my dear Sandwich!
  3. A quick note from yesterdays celebrations! A great day in the Lakes, i.e. dry! Both bride and groom looking excellent, and a great venue too. After the ceremony, we had a cruise on the lake, and a fab meal in the evening. Amanda had planned everthing to a T. The happy couple are leaving for Mauritious on tuesday, so hopefully Chris will manage to stay off the Wifi for the duration Here's a couple of pics I snapped from the day: Storrs Hall Cake! Fran enjoying the view: Nothing to do with the wedding, but the owner obviously spotted the Zed and thought he was parking in the "Prestige" area!
  4. Very pre-emptive Graham! I would say something, but I'll see them tomorrrow anyway Weather has been fine up here for the past week or so, just cold and a bit cloudy tomorrow.
  5. Works for me too, I'm betting its an Apple "feature".
  6. A properly dry fill from a compressor will be 95% as good as pure nitrogen. If you think you can feel the difference on the road you are imagining it!
  7. I'm too much of a tyre swapper for tubeless. Did give it a go with a ghetto set-up and it worked quite well.
  8. Nice one mate, they are great bikes. I would have gone for a dafter colour perhaps, but I like black and white too, a la my Trek. Bonus midweek bike porn; Home Bicycles, french handbuild full susser. Beautiful. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Home-Bicycles-full-story-2012.html
  9. Well done lass, hope you enjoy the new job!
  10. Doubt she'd do a conversion unless she had to, BSAC are famously sniffy about PADI qualifications.
  11. White gold James? You chav! 17" frame with a 70mm stem seems quite long, unless I'm imagining you to be shorter than you are! Chris - you can discuss scuba to your hearts content with Fran, she did all the BSAC stuff at Uni. It's defo an expensive hobby too far for me, I'd only do it abroad anyway, so hirings best for me.
  12. Not sure on the numbers, but substantially less than earlier models. The nismo kit is desirable, the exhaust was an option in japan, but you'll have to source your own in this country. In case you were wondering, Nismo kitted models have no extra performance!
  13. Vaults doing great but you need to put a dab of threadlock on them when new to stop the pins vibrating out. They don't come torqued up from the factory weirdly. The fox rear shocks are all pretty good, well known for being reliable. As for stems, who cares! Well they all do a job don't they? Might as well just choose whatever matches your bars or your trainers! How wide are the bars?
  14. Ex-nerd here. I might buy a 360 eventually, once it costs £100
  15. 3rd position on the pro pedal is virtually lockout anyway. It's fine for climbing.
  16. Yeah, at least you have changed all the other "brightwork" to black too to get a cohesive theme. I'm not saying nobody's allowed any colour except silver, coloured wheels can look good in context, ie track cars, 911 GT3 etc, but black will very rarely work, and especially in photos on the internet, where we mostly see other peoples cars.
  17. Out of curiosity what wheels would you go with if not black? Probably good old silver or gunmetal depending on the car. I just find the whole fashion for black wheels very tiresome. It looks bad in photos, and hides the shape and detail of the wheels. YMMV of course! Yes Jay! yours is great of course!
  18. Not putting any pressure on us for the Alps then eh???
  19. I'm sure he would be happy you were getting some enjoyment out of it.
  20. If it's your first one, you probably won't take much off them, especially the rears. Track surfaces are quite smooth, so wear rates are pretty good unless you spend all your time sideways! Just take a tyre pressure jobbie with you to keep them right.
