  1. More than enough money for a car that age, but be aware that stonechipped fronts and interior scuffs are hard to avoid. Probably best to be patient and wait for a good private sale on here, or elsewhere.
  2. The original Camskill are my local fitters, so I get all my tyres from there. They will fit random tyres, but charge £20 a corner for fit and balance. With three cars I'm quite a good customer normally, so I can get my winters/summers swapped over for a fiver a wheel as I bought them there.

    Veilside 3 Kit

Top tip: You can buy a whole Zed with it fitted for less than the cost of the kit, fitting and spraying, such is the popularity of the end result.
  4. A lot of car for the money these days that's for sure, I'd have the estate straight away if I lived in Qatar. Or Texas. How long before (sub)15mpg and 200 mile range start to grate though? Oh, and exhaust you say: http://www.supersprint.com/
  5. If anyone's passing through Staffordshire, I can recommend dropping by the National Memorial Arboretum as I did on my End to End cycle ride. It (and all the trees in it) are only 5 years old at the minute, but in coming years it'll grow into quite a place I imagine.
  6. Pork all the way. 996 GT3. Or failing that, the new Boxster (yes really)
  7. You sometimes put lifetime riders off riding Looks like good fun to me, sure he will be back for more after a bit of practice. I dont see your new beast, did you take the bouncy bike? Yeah, new frame is awaiting finishing. Need to decide whats happening with the forks yet, but single ring and chain guide came in the post the other day. Which Stane first then mate?
  8. Claife Heights today with a couple of lads from work. I think we've put one first timer off biking for life, Chris will understand! Which Stane do you want to break your duck on then Chris?
  9. Further to all the other points, trackdays are dead cheap in the winter, and if the conditions are pants you'll get a nice window onto the cars limit handling without most of the risk of hitting something.
  10. No such thing as cheap headlights for the Zed. Not unless you get very lucky at a breakers or something.
  11. Looks good there Tim, it's on the list! Looking at the weather, that must have been that last Saturday was it?
  12. Bit of a bargain from STW classifieds, it even comes with a seat post and headset, so nothing else to buy. Err, apart from some necessary personalisation bits, like grips, bar maybe, and a possible chain device for going 1x9... I'm looking to make full use of its lightweight potential, If i'm going to have a hardtail, I might as well use it's simple virtues to full effect. The main problem at the moment is my old fox 32s from the steel 456 look pants. Considering getting the crown and stanchions powder coated as they still work fine, but just not as stiff and capable as modern ones.
  13. Not wheels, just an early christmas present, in that I'm not paying for it!
  14. We went and watched it last night, though it was quite good. Its not the best one ever, I agree that Goldeneye was the best of the "modern" films, but I would probably rank it nearly second evens with Casino. The showdown at the end of Skyfall was really good.
  15. I suppose Steve will be happy. Oh wait... http://techcrunch.com/2012/10/25/tim-cook-we-will-never-make-a-7-inch-tablet-we-dont-think-theyre-good-products/
  16. Yeah, you could, but as there's chuff all to see at either end I'd give it a miss!
  17. No point going up to Scotland for one night, you won't do it justice, hell, not even a week is long enough! Best plan would be South Wales and the Breacons/Black Mountain. B4560, A4059, and A4069 (Famous Evo hairpin road)
  18. Guiding services always available That's the one dry day we've had! Back to a weeks rain now...
  19. +1 Like Ricey, I'm struggling to see exactly where any significant savings would be made. Especially as 57 plate Clio is going to be depreciating like a stone still............ It looks suspiciously like my kind of man-maths too. My mate bought an R27 197 at the same time i got the Zed. Near the same mpg as the zed just about as it likes a rev or six, maybe less tax and near enough the same service costs. Only difference was he had to fix a couple of faults via the dealers where as I didn't.
  20. Think these were the ones I got last time from Canskill: http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s315p52216/Bridgestone_Tyres_Car_Bridgestone_RE050A_Potenza_Bridgestone_RE_050_A_-_245_45R18_96W_%28DZ%29_TL_
  21. I've got a CTEK charger for mine, no problems with it, can't remember the model name but it was about 30 odd quid.
