  1. Yey! all finished now Ridable now at least, just needs a good shakedown ride I think.
  2. I'll be leading the west coast drive out option, although any attendees from the event two years ago will pardon me this time if I can't provide tea and brownies for 30 people! (Well, maybe...) The drive will comprise of: 1) Scenic drive up the west coast. This does contain some great relatively unknown roads, but also a lack of passing places, so like the rest of the lakes you might have loads of time to look around as you pootle along behind that tractor! 2) Current activity options are Muncaster Castle and the "Laal Ratty", a miniature steam railway that heads up the Eskdale valley. Muncaster Castle also contains a great birds of prey center and owl sanctuary, plus extensive gardens and cafe. Additionally, a ride on the wee train could be combined with a short ramble into the valley to see Stanley Gill Waterfall. Probably about 1 - 1.5hrs walking. Both these options are within a mile of each other, so you could technically do both if you can manage to get up early As herding Zedders is difficult though, we will probably just do one activity for time reasons.
  3. You can find our resident boiler bods by serching "new boiler". A couple of threads in there.
  4. Thats the saddest bedroom view I've ever seen, hope its better in other directions!
  5. Whilst visiting Frans parents in Hereford for Xmas, we were shopping in town on the saturday, and Fran suddenly spots a familiar face in the crowd.... ...didn't she Will? ; ) I know we had previously talked about his parents also living in the area, but it was very unexpected to bump into him, both of us miles from home! Anyway, we arranged to have a wee meet up on Christmas eve at a local tavern and had a few shandys/beers/cokes. An extra wee surprise for Christmas, cheers mate!
  6. Suspect Admin have signed of for christmas hols!
  7. I don't think we could realistically do it this year, but even so, for me and especially Fran, I think It would be too much time on the move. If we did something similar it would be 2-3 nights in each place I think.
  8. Well I've ordered the mech and brake adapter now on CRC, so that'll hopefully arrive next week after Xmas now. Surely you want me on the biggest, heaviest bike I've got? Maybe the even the 'cross bike?
  9. Things are finally progressing a bit: Still some stuff to sort out though. 1) Needs a shorter cage rear mech, it's way to big! 2) Need post mount adapter for front disk. 3) Chainline is a bit of a compromise at the minute using the middle chainring position on triple cranks. A dedicated set of cranks would be ideal, and save a lot of weight, but I'm thinking that'll have to wait for the minute. 4) Then 10 speed and a clutch mech.... 5) Oh, and some carbon bars etc.
  10. We await the Laird's appearance with baited breath I will personally serve square sausage at breakfast to all Scottish members who attend. Can't say fairer than that eh?
  11. It's ok Stan, we have a bus parking area. Just ask Chris I for details...
  12. I read the courier parts in a wee ned voice, tres amuseballs!
  13. Just needs some decent tyres on it to replace those tasty Primewells!
  14. I was getting it to, but not now....
  15. And a snip at £25k + one relationship too
  16. This was at a local garage and made me go a bit wibbly: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-PORSCHE-911-997-3-8-CARRERA-2-S-/300742109586?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4605a06992 Possibly all the car I'd ever need. *Le sigh*
  17. I just looked this up, did you know that footballers have only won it five times? Moore, Gazza, Owen, Becks and Giggs. There's an equal number of cricketers and boxers (although Henry Cooper won it twice), cycling is now only one behind with four winners, F1 has six wins although only over four different people. Athletics wins by miles with a whopping seventeen winners! Yeah, I was just going to say it was another cyclist! Especially so soon after Cav won. Not sure how Murray got so many votes over some of the other Olympians, especially Mo and Hoy. And here's Wiggo teasing the french media
  18. Certainly fulfils the "personality" part! I didn't really think he would get it, but obviously amazing to see another cyclist win. Better start putting some track time in then marra!
  19. Well, that's this house reduced to proud blubbing again. I'm going to put my pound on Ennis.
