No, Renault use a version of the Zed engine in some of their cars as part of a technology sharing agreement. Don't listen to the Nissan haters who say its a french engine. It's probably one of the most reliable lumps around, and there's no cam belt to worry about; chains baby!

no probs here at 6'1". You could also try a non-GT as i belive the seat is a touch lower due to not having all the heating and electronic gubbins.

I would say most likely a fault with the cooker old boy. Loose wire or shorting element perhaps? can't really think what it could be. Stop being tight and get a man in, he needs the work you know! -
