  1. Nothing wrong with puntos! Just picked mine up today, an 07 grande no less!
  2. Didn't Evo say it was "To fast for the road"? Either death or infamy would await pretty quickly I would say!

    "Way Back Home"

Yep, just jealous. Obviously I didn't have enough misspent youth! I do wish i'd been into biking earlier though, I didn't really start until i went to Uni, and like anything else, starting young gives you a big advantage in the skills.

    Red Zed Pics!

Not often I get to say this: BEST COLOUR!!

    "Way Back Home"

I bought Find the other day too, which has an interview with.Danny and the director on it. Really good, especially the trip with Danny, Steve peat, and Hans Reay doing some Scottish helibiking!

    "Way Back Home"

Wee slide on the pipe is my fave bit. Awesome control!
  7. I can recommend being a offshore wind turbine tech if you don't fancy time away from any family etc. Obviously not as much money, but you come back every day and its quite interesting with the bit of boating and sea views! edit: Easier to get into than the rigs too, most companies would pay for all your training as they recognise previous experience in the field is still rare.
  8. Not sure yet Immy, but it's the same size as my mates Clio 197 and his bike fits in with seats down and wheels off. Haven't checked to see if it takes a rack or not yet.
  9. Maybe something Jap in a year or twos time Stan. Once the Zed is paid off I won't have to worry about the mpg as much. And yes, Vik, I might just be my fave colour Even my MTB is red...
  10. Hydrogens still years off, I think that in the mean time you'll see some pure battery vehicles for cities, and extended range cars for most other areas, i.e. a smaller battery unit attached to a small engine or turbine running at a near constant rpm just charging the battery. Low fuel consuption coupled with the benefits of electric motor torque. Of course, given enough market forces and regulation (Euro emmisions rules etc), it's amazing how far piston engine fuel efficiency has come in the last 5-10 years. Direct injection, low pressure turbos, and lower friction materials.
  11. Nice Needs some tyre dressing though
  12. ....And in the other half of my busy weekend, I flogged myself round Whinlatter forest this morning in the name of fun. Full pics and results haven't been put online yet, but I managed 2h 16m I'm pleased as thats 12mins up on my last years time. There's definitely time to find though, especially on the bike, wasn't really feeling it today, and probably should have put some faster rolling tyres on, but happy anyway.
  13. Sorted now! Went to my sisters in Leeds to have a good poke round some garages on saturday. I found a couple of nice cars, one a nice sensible (slightly over budget) focus, the other was a bit tasty, red, and Italian. Can you guess what it was yet? It's a tidy 1.9JTD in sporting trim. Rear parking sensors, steering wheel controls, and possibly Blue and me too, it has a usb port and Bluetooth i think. Yes, i probably should have opted for the Focus, but it was a proper heart over head moment. I'm so weak! Anyway, both the potential Focuses on the shortlist had issues to sort out, like alloys to refurbish, and one very clean privately owned one had patchy history. El Punto has full service history, all at the same garage, and seems to have been properly looked after; good quality Bridgestones were fitted, as opposed to the Nanking Ditchfinders that every other car I looked at had. Plus I managed to haggle a few quid off and get a years tax thrown in. Deposit is down, just have to go back next saturday to pick it up. We have three red cars now, and two of them are Fiats! At least I won't have to buy any different coloured wax eh? A big cleaning sesh awaits...

    OMFG!

    Thankfully there's only one!
  15. Suppose, might be plenty of time yet though, the 350 was on sale for what 6 years?
  16. Doh! Hope you get it sorted mate.
  17. Do you think we are going to have a repeat of the last numbering sequence? 390Z anyone? Surely then you might as well have a V8? I'm sure it would fit, you can get a V12 in a vantage after all...
  18. I'm still looking for my new work runabout, but i'm heading to Leeds this weekend to look at some more Focii! Also on the list is 1.4Tdi Fiesta, Polo etc. Theres's nothing decent for low money round here at the minute, so i've had to either spend more, or go further afield.
  19. I've stopped getting contracts now and just get either one month rolling ones or pay as you sims. Yeah you have to buy the phone but the freedom is great!
  20. Mmm, rooty goodness! Haven't been out this week, been looking for a car and I'm saving myself for the Whinlatter Duathlon next weekend, honest!
  21. Very nice, the old 350 does look good in grey though.
  22. Nice to see this is still providing much discussion, even if I'm on my own

    peugeot RCZ

Best looking Peugeot for years. Spotted one of these in the lakes the week before the official launch, seen a few more since then though. Looks like it will be very popular and deservedly so IMO. Lets hope they can pull their socks up a la Fiat.
