  1. Don't forget to fill up before the new year too!
  2. Don't get any of the rich red jacket types round here really, just the dogs. I think they need to stop pretending down south that its more about pest control than a day out with the gee-gees and getting pi**ed afterwards, "The Hunt" itself is rather a overly showy and inefficient method of doing in a couple of foxes. After all, if you just want stuff caught, you just get your local gamekeeper or trapper in don't you?
  3. I enjoyed it less than the GT3/F430/AMG episode last week. I think they should scrap the series, and just spend it all on one or two specials per year. Both the Arctic and Vietnam specials were far better than this middle east one, and that was probably down to the fact that in this one they had to jazz up what was a very restricted and scripted itinery. Vietnam was good even though it didn't have sod all to do with cars! It was closer to what actually works; a buddy movie/road trip that you would love to do for real with your mates. A good start would be allowing some of these trips to actually fail, the safety net in the Iraq one was too intrusive and too comprehensive.
  4. Did you drop a nut down somewhere ??? (OK I did when I fitted mine ) luckily I have M8 nuts in the workshop. No no, I just meant it doesn't come with any, so you'll need some if you want to attach them to the end of the battery clamp screw. I didn't check what the actual size was.
  5. The Zed has been rested up for nearly 2 months now I think, and with the volt meter dropping below 12V, I thought I'd better get a trickle charger in as other than a wee turn over and warm up drive if the ice buggers off, it's going to be sitting for all of January when I'm in Germany. Found this one on amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ctek-CTE-XS800-Battery-Charger-Stage/dp/B000RI2B70 Not as cheap as the one Alex was selling, but it has topped up the battery (took about a day), and has switched over to the maintainence mode now. Nice and compact, and you get clips and eylets that can be screwed on to the terminals if you get some (M8?) nuts.
  6. Cash towards a track day, a Le Cruset griddle pan , and some nice jeans.
  7. Hmm, £710 for a full carlimits day at bedford. At that price I think I would expect to be turned into a driving god. Maybe worth pushing the boat out for though, even if it is bloomin' miles away! 700 sheets would buy a whole handful of MSV days at Oulton Park though, and you can get extra intruction there, although i would imagine its more track specific than CAT.
  8. I must admit i was leaning toward the trackday, worried about the stonechips though! Hardly think I'll be biting at the heels of the car in front though. I'm also considering something like CAT driver training, but i understand its quite pricey, like 300 plus for a half day?
  9. Fran has given me some money for Xmas on the condition that I use it for either a trackday or a driving experience. What do you think would be best? Trackday seems best value, but of course you are wearing your own car and you don't get the experience of something exotic. Hmmm...
  10. It's ok Chris i've got it on my hard drive anyway. I'll have to get it watched before i go and see the new one this christmas.
  11. pretty sure we have had a couple of jersey members...
  12. Nice one Jay, don't forget the wedding doesn't have to cost the earth to be special.
  13. Aww, poor alfa. Body shops are going to be busy at the minute!
  14. Ouch mate, hope you get sorted out ok.
  15. My friend, who currently owns a R27 Clio, is possibly looking to get a 350. Is there any fairly standard zeds about at the minute? He test drove a non GT black 07 from a dealer with low miles and I believe it was 15.5k.
  16. Just landed at 11pm last night Stew. Just had a couple of hours to kill before the course, and then straight up to Buckie. Where about do you work? I walked past the Talisman building in town, no cars over 3 years old in their carpark, was like a showroom!
  17. Well, we got up here no problem. Nice to see the weather has something else in store for us in the next few days though. Had a wander round Aberdeen this morning for a bit. very nice.
  18. Very nice mate, bet it'll be short lived though!
