  1. [yorkshire] Ay up lad, thats proper champion that is! [/yorkshire] *ahem* Sorry about that, all this sunshine's gone t' me head! Hope bits hey? hmm, let me guess.... Seat clamp and maybe headset? Don't think that Marin was wanting for much was it? Don't forget the pics!
  2. Right, had to call on-one a few times to get things sorted out. They are very busy in the easter run-up and the computers were on the fritz, but I have a 30% discount on a replacement 456! Next day delivery (albeit from today), so should be landing tomorrow In a nice blue colour, which will make a change from red everything! 1 Edit: Also, the weather is looking amazing all the way to easter, so saturday should be fab! Just a shame I have to clear off to work, arrgghhh
  3. I'm feeling a bit spent after watching all the cars leave Donny.
  4. All of your brain is supplied with blood/oxygen all the time. I doubt its related to any metric of "Utilisation". I think that rather than think of it as only "using" 5%, it's more like it's so busy running our majorly complicated bodies, it can only afford to lease 5% of its power for a concious state so we don't bump into things and remember to have kids at some point!
  5. Yeah, nice to see Garry left it especially dirty for you!
  6. Nice pics Looks like a good spot for a barbie.
  7. Just need some wax on top now mate to keep it looking that way
  8. Nice one James, I feel a 350Z biking meet coming on in Yorkshire Great sesh today at Grizedale. Dry, sunny, and rolling quick. Think i've sussed a good route for saturday, should be 3hrs worth. I won't tell you how long it took me to get round today though Some good views, and some great descents too. Only small hitch is that i got a stick in my rear wheel which bent my rear mech and hanger round So by the time you get here I might well be on a different coloured frame! I'm going to call On-one tomorrow and see if I can get any discount on their crash replacement policy.
  9. I wouldn't worry about it too much, probably only have time for a 2-3hr ride anyway. Lets hope this high pressure sticks around!
  10. Yeah, the price seriously spirals once you get below 1800g per pair. they are XC racing jobs really, but i originally got them of ebay for about 280 sheets in 2009. Oh, and Grizedale recon tomorrow!
  11. AG stuff is great for most things, but I find a more expensive wax is worth it for long lasting shininess.
  12. Couple of jobs done today. Finally could afford to get my Mavic crossmax SL rear fixed (£200 ), it had a completely new rim and all spokes changed though, so picked that up from Keswick and gave Frans bike a major upgrade with the pair, probably lost 500g per wheel! Also rebuild her squeeky pedals too. They are very trick though, only about 1500g for the pair!
  13. Certainly every fuel injected car that i know of. Don't know about carbs!
  14. No fuel gets used if it's still in gear. Only if its idling out of gear.
  15. She was! Don't want to drive it anywhere now
  16. I've driven a few older Alfas as you may know, The Giulietta is a lovely looking car, and it's far, far better than the Brera which was a dead badger dynamically, even if it was sex on wheels! The 1.9mulitjet i've got in the Punto is pretty warm, so i would imagine the latest Alfa version should shift pretty well, and the Guilletta comes with a LSD as standard. I get 45mpg on the twisty hell to work, and about 50 on the motorway. Ps. I'm completly biased when it comes to Alfas, but one day i'll have my Alfa bike van:
  17. Big spring clean on the trusty Panda 4x4 this afternoon, poor Jez was looking a bit sorry for himself and had a severe tar spot rash. Products used: Bilt hamber clay, Autoglym SRP + EGP on the paint plus various AG products on trim, plastics, glass etc, Bilberry wheel cleaner, Dodo Orange on top. It occurred to me that it really needs a cute wee stainless exhaust too. The original one is showing some good rust on the backbox. Tidy!
  18. *Insert joke here about Megs high Brazilian wax content etc*
  19. Think the skirts are the same mate, just the front bumper and spoiler thats different.
  20. I'd love to go, but I don't think the cost and time will work out sadly. It's a fair old trek down.
  21. Looks good. Think that saddle might need some adjustment though, unless you never go uphill!
