  1. Isnt the 05 a pre face lift and so the above doesnt apply? Do you have the fold down cover on the sat nav? If its like the facelift sat nav with controls then the screen is bolted to the car and remains in place when the centre console is removed.
  2. That seems low as a starting price for a 313 roadster with only 10k miles, looking on autotrader similar specs are asking just under £15K. Hard to say though without full info and pics, we don't even know if it's a UK car. I think your both way too high! Jamie Moy has had his car up for sale for months and his is newer with less mileage. Think it is currently for sale at £12,995................ I was being generous and considering the fact its mint with 4 new tyres. 13k seems a bargain to me, shame i'm not looking for a 313 roadster now. Prices still seem to be all over the place when it comes to 350Z's.
  3. Private sale i'd start by asking around £13-13.5k if its mint.
  4. Ive had a few subs over the years but now i only ever use my JL 10w6v2, i cant see myself ever needing to upgrade it as it sounds awesome. We have a Alpine Type R sub in the Alfa GT which isnt bad either. I think a decent Amp is the key though so dont buy one of these cheap brand 2000w amp/sub packages you see online as they rarely perform well. You can fit a sub behind the drivers seat but the orginal bose sub isnt enclosed which most aftermarket subs are. You could make an enclosure but the space is tight and i never really liked having that much bass in my back.
  5. Depending on what you want the 111S is lighter and has more low down grunt where as the 111R is heavier with its servo brakes, ABS and high revving 190bhp Toyo engine which some say is a little lacking low down in the revs. The 160bhp K series on paper seems the best to me, it produces more power, less emissions and better mpg then an early 120bhp K series and the later 135bhp Toyo engined Elise.
  6. I'm in a similar situation at the moment, i sold the 350Z when we got our first house and have been looking at replacing it ever since, i did consider another 350Z,Evo or WRX STi but have now decided on either a 370Z or S2 Elise 111S. 370Z's are still a little to much for me and i dont think i can justify the running costs compared to an Elise. I'm looking at a 2004/05 K series 111S for around £14k.
  7. Keep an eye on the power lead, it may be running hot if the Genesis amp starts drawing to many amps.
  8. The problem you have is to use the bose patch lead your headunit must have atleast 2 sets of RCA outputs, one for the front and one for the rear. Your headunit only has the one set so your going to need to follow busters advice and wire them to the high level speaker outputs instead. ps. you could use Y splitters and conenct them all to the front pre out you have but this will lose front/rear fade and may cause volume/quality issues as you pre-outs are only 2v.
  9. The VTR has the flappy paddle gearbox just like a Lambo V12 aswell.
  10. Mask up and mark where to drill holes. Drill holes, you may have to drill through the foam behind aswell. Place sensors in bumper and run cables to left of car, could be difficult as access from top will be limited and foam gets in the way. You will still need to remove the left rear light to gain access to the wiring and gromit into the car. The sensors power comes from the reverse light and you can earth it anywhere. That's pretty much it. It is possible though.
  11. How to remove bumper... http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php ... er_Removal
  12. Yes its possible to do without removing the rear bumper, would be much easy to remove it though which is really easy.
  13. Walk away, its hard to tell the damage from a photo and the fact it was consider a Cat D would make me think the damage was worse then it looks.
  14. Which Alpine headunit do you have? Some have a steering wheel control module built in so could save you buying a module.
  15. I always felt the rays needed spacers fitted to them.
  16. Its hard to give an exact date as some early cars were registered late in 2006 after the facelift car had been released. Its more likely that someone has fitted upgraded lights to an early model, does it have the led rear lights and upgraded interior? If it does but has an early bumper then yes it could of been in a front end bump.
  17. The reason the volume is low is due to low voltage preouts when using the phono leads. Never had this problem with Alpines but when i fitted it to the bose in my Afla GT the adaptor had built in resistors to limit the output to the bose amp to protect it. I removed these as it was to quiet. This has made me think that the reason they dont use the high level outputs is to protect the bose amp as it wasnt designed to take a high level input.
  18. Compared to the end of last year prices have gone strong again due to demand. I was looking at another 350 and there were loads of good deals around last year, there now seems to be a lot less cars for sale and the prices are reflecting that.
  19. If its in good condition with the bungs then you should be able to get £150, there was a time when you could pick them up on ebay for £170-180 new but there more like £300+ now new.
  20. Check the spec on the import as they don't all come with brembos as standard fot example. They don't hold there value either compared to a UK cat of the same age so make sure you buy cheap.
  21. Yes that'll work. I wired mine to some phonos and used a phono to mini jack lead.
  22. These appear to be correct.... 24 NAVI ON (R/B) – RED / BLACK STRIPE 30 NAVI INPUT (-) (W/B) = WHITE / BLACK STRIPE 31 NAVI EARTH (B/OR) = BLACK / ORANGE STRIPE 32 NAVI INPUT (+) (L/B) = BLUE / BLACK STRIPE It should be easy to tell if you cross reference the wiring in the car with the wiring diagram.
  23. Around town with an average speed of 12mph i got 11mpg. On the motorway i had it in the high 30's. For comparison i get 31mpg (12mph) from the Alfa GT Diesel.
  24. Check out this post... viewtopic.php?t=53920
  25. Liam is the man, was very helpful last year with me buying my first house even though i didnt use his services at the time (wish i did) he helped us with our life insurance later on. House looks great, i hopefully want something out the way with a bit more character eventually. Its crazy what you can get for the similar money in different parts of the UK.
