  1. The amp for the sub sits next to the subwoofer itself and is mounted on the backside of where the subwoofer is, if you remove the sub and lossen the 2 bolts holding the amp on you can remove it.
  2. I wouldn't trust halfords to install a headunit in the 350z, it isn't a straight forward plug and play job but if you follow the guides on here it is an easy DIY job. For the Sat nav I wired mine upto the aux input on the headunit. When i wanted sound I just switched sources.
  3. Have you added the extra ground wire as in the how to?
  4. Friend races a 771whp RX7, does an 8.8 at 160mph... Only ever been to pod in my Mk1 Mr2 and that does a 16.2 at 86mph.

  6. I've been with admiral for 4 years now and on there multi car for the past 2 years. They've always been cheapest so far and decent when adding mods and changing cars mid policy. My partner even got a full years NCD for 8 months as her renewal wasnt at the same time. Until someone else can quote cheaper i'll be sticking with them. ps. 350Z use to cost me £1000 (age 26), Z4 2.0i before that was £1200 (age 25), Elise 111S now costs me £650 (age 28).
  7. It's unlikely to be a Nissan part for the sensors as they were dealer fit. The control unit is usually in that area though as it takes power from the reverse light. With the car in reverse feel each sensor with your fingers, when working correctly you should feel them clicking/pulsing. I replace my whole kit with a £18 one from ebay when one of the sensors failed. It's a bumper off job but there's a decent guide online on how to do it. Getting the foam out from the boot takes a bit of force due to its shape.
  8. Parking sensors were never a factory option they were a dealer fit and they used different systems. There all pretty much the same though. It could just be the control unit has lost power, its usually under the boot carpet and foam on the passenger side of the car. They take there power from the reverse light so it could be hear where your problem is. To gain access you'll need to remove the light cluster. Mine went so I replaced it with a kit of ebay that cost £18.
  9. Change them for sure. It won't affect the tpms and will transform the car. My old Z4 was a nightmare on bridgestone RFT's. Some people will say you can't do it but the only difference between a RFT alloy and standard alloy is an extra lip on the inside to prevent a RFT tyre coming of when flat.
  10. I have TDL studio 10's as my fronts. Were around £120 from richersounds a few years back now. For a remote you can't go wrong with the Harmony One.
  11. If your referring to the Sat Nav screen it cant be exchanged as its a complete Sat Nav Unit that is stand alone from the radio itself. I believe its possible to add inputs to the screen by the way of an adaptor though i've not heard or seen anyone on here do it as they usually just replace the whole unit for an all in one aftermarket headunit.
  12. Hi, i brought 2 of these way back when i had the 350Z, plan was to put one on the front and back but it didnt look to fit the back so i'd only recommend this for the front of the 350Z. Its in new condition, original sticky foam and backing never been removed. Looking for £15 delivered (paypal or faster payment preferred), or £12 collection from leicester.
  13. I built a rack and put 2 JL slash amps behind the drivers seat to power a 10w6v2 under the strut and JL comps up front. Just adding a sub to the stock location wouldnt sound good as its open and not enclosed, i didnt like having the sub behind me either.
  14. My 56 plate was like this, especially when cold. It takes some time but you get used to it, giving it a few more revs in 1st and 2nd seemed to help me.
  15. Parking sensors were dealer fit on the 350z. Mine broke so I replaced them with a £15 kit of eBay.
  16. As before, check the wiring behind the rear left light, reverse sensors are usually tapped in here to get the power.
  17. As said before waste of time and money as the bose isnt great, if on a budget i'd buy a 4 channel amp and run some upgraded fronts and a small subwoofer of this using high level inputs from the stock headunit.
  18. I had a Z4 before my 350Z and got bored of the Z4, it was to easy to drive. Felt just like my mates 5 Series to sit in and it wasnt until you went round a corner you realised you werent in a Z4. They are great cars but do have more problems then the 350Z and the smile factor doesnt compare. Given the choice of a 3.0si or 350Z 313 i'd go with the 350Z everythime.
  19. A couple years back at JAE the guy at the gate thought my 350Z was a Porsche.
  20. Try stepping out the car with shorts on, you can feel the heat burning the back of your legs.
  21. There was no hail in town and our other car got away with no dents which was at beaumont leys at the time of the storm, ive heard alot of horror stories though of people close by.
