  1. My 50" Panasonic pz70 plasma is very old now, 6/7 years but still has a great image. I'm very tempted by a new one but waiting to see what happens with 4k. Just checked and my tv has 11,500 hours on it. If I've had it 6 years that's quite alot of tv each day.
  2. I always put road tax and insurance on interest free credit cards then pay of monthly.
  3. I thought it was march 06. Some rev ups are lower tax bracket but they're rarer than hens teeth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That info was from the Chester DVLA when I first taxed and changed my plate, they made a point of telling me I was lucky by a few days on the registration date. They were telling porkies. Cut of date is March 23rd 2006.
  4. Check the tax as if it's the higher band I'd want the car to be a revup 300 with the facelift interior. Sounds like it could need up to £1k to get it 100%.

  6. 06 may stil be lower tax bracket and pre facelift. Cut of date is 23rd March for the higher road tax. 06 plate seems to be the overlap for facelift cars
  7. Replacing the head unit takes minutes to remove the centre console and fit a new unit. It's the wiring thats a pain.
  8. Early 1zz-fe 140bhp engines used between 1999-2002 had a design flaw with the oil control rings and oil feed, they would stick and overheat, it didn't affect the 190 engines and was fixed on the facelift cars. I've not heard of many head gasket failures on the Celica's, the K series in my Elise is another story all together.
  9. They should of released the Hyundai Genesis coupe in the UK. There RWD and start from 210bhp.
  10. Did you mean to say £20?
  11. I had a mk1 MR2 for 8.5 years until last august when I swapped it for a Gen7 Celica as my work run about.
  12. Unless hacked apple hardware will require a more expensive wi-fi obd2 adaptor as they don't talk to Bluetooth.
  13. Something like a JBL GTO-5EZ would do that trick. All depends on budget and brands you prefer.
  14. Sub has its own amp about the size of a cigarette pack, the speaker one isn't much bigger either. If your planning on a straight amp swap it would require a full rewire.
  15. It'll work but you need coaxial speakers for the rears not components if you want a straight swap. I personally wouldnt bother changing the rears and just run them of the head unit and then use the 4 channel amp to power the fronts and sub.
  16. Just edited my post, get yourself a single to twin phone splitter then you can connect both.
  17. The single sub out and use a Y splitter.
  18. Could be the filter/gain settings at the amp or headunit. Try turning all freq filters off and slowly turn the gain up.
  19. I tend to start my search with http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ and http://caraudiosecurity.com/
  20. Ported vs Sealed is down to preference and subwoofer spec. A sealed box is smaller then a ported box and produces tighter bass. A ported box requires less power and produces more bass volume. I prefer sealed these days. Bass is non directional so it shouldn't matter if you point the sub into the boot or cab, personally with the layout of the 350Z i'd always face it into the boot. The bose speakers are pretty poor so a decent aftermarket set is always going to be an improvement especially if you run them of an amp.
  21. Big power figures doesn't make it better especially with cheap brands. My amps are only 300w and 500w and will sound loads better. If I was on a budget I'd look at something like fli, pioneer, alpine entry level stuff non of this eBay stuff.
  22. Are you using the pre outs or high level speaker outputs?
  23. It's true as the Sat nav is standalone and sends its sound to an input on the oem head unit. So you either have to use an input on the new head unit (no music and sat nav at same time) or install a seperate speaker for the Sat nav.
