  1. Iwould like to think that the person with the degree from a better university hold more value to a potential employer. I have a Business degree specialising in HRM and Marketing from The University Of Strathclyde which is ranked one of the top Universities for Business in the U.K. So an employer should look at this and see that the standard of candidates should be higher than say of.... Caledonian University ( In Business Degree's) I deliberately choose Strathclyde because of its reputation but also because it is known to have extremely harsh markers and harder tests (crazy I know) But as soon as an employer sees B.A. Hons Strathclyde that immediately goes to your advantage and potentially secure you a job over another candidate. IMO.

  11. Fair play mate I just hate being put in the box of spoilt rich kid! Now yes my parents have done well for themselves. But the thing I cannot stand is people who just sit back a take take take all their life......... it really grinds my gears But as I said I have been lucky to get the start in life I have been given...... so just using that to my advantage Annnnnnnnnndd Breathe..........
  12. two things: CREDIT RICH PARENTS Or the obvious one, work hard in a decent paid job. +1 sorry jay but you can;t plus one that. as for docwra's original post i agree, i bought all my cars outright for cash; paidd for by me, my parents never helped out; if i wanted a car i funded it might self, and even mananged to do it in my last 2 years at uni. i sometimes think its why we see so many crashes, i worked my way up through the cars, built my experience and my skill through time and worked my way up. without being rude, i don't tend to take much notice of the very young drivers on forums giving their driving "advice". i tend to listen to those with experience or the background for it. yes there are some exceptions for instance lewis hamilton is younger than me, and i would take his advice quiet happily. but the local barry boy in his boo-yaka-shaa corsa with resistor mod and drilled holes in his exhaust can jog on. (i'm sure most people if they are really bothered can work out for them sleves where they fall on that scale ) I think I can +1 that rich. As most of the older 350z crew know I got my 350z for my 21st Bday from my parents. Yes that is a great gift and all the rest of it which I am very thankful for. But as most of us say its the actual running of the car that can cost a fortune. Now I have paid my insurance and all the rest of that jazz off my own back (because I work bloody hard to keep the lifestyle that I am used too.) I have spent over 10k on my zed, which meant I could have bought the zed back by now anyway. Plus you are very quick to assume when you do not know all the facts mate. How do you know I havent paid back my parents for the car? I think you have a slight chip on your shoulder (and I may be wrong) but that is just my view. Again like you said in a previous post...... people get raised differently and it is obvious that we have. However I work hard for whatever I have and whatever I would like to have. I work 13hr days as thats the only way that I can afford to keep the car.... pay for an engagement ring.... pay for a wedding......... the list goes on. So to sum it up. Yes I have had a great start in life and my parents have been able to set me up in the best way the can.......... but dont take away from me the effort and hard graft that I also put in to keep the standard of living that I want for myself.
