I think on a black car, the first one with a polished lip and not a red lip would work.
3rd one on a GM would be smart

Interesting........ very interesting..........
Especially after last nights conversation....
Oh yes, although I'm a lot further down the road than this, just stolen my thunder thats all!!

Ironic that the lesser Leon parts are being used for the Golf You would expect the Golf to have the better parts to start with
I wouldn't call Leon a lesser car (I'm an ex Leon owner ), it has the same 1.8 engine as the Golf but on the Cupra R you have the bigger turbo, intercooler etc as on the S3.
Yeah this is exactly what he's doing, Leon downpipe etc and the turbo from a 225 TT i believe. Then a remap.

Cant remember who I was speaking to at the meet last night about wheel refurbs.
Just called Finesse Coatings on Cotton Street. £55 a wheel, require the tyre off the car, 5 day turnaround, unable to do a lip or seperate colour.
Stew - were you able to speak to your pal about what they'd be able to do??
Also going to try Motorwerks as they do a service aswell.

Wing mirror, always looking backwards........

I totally agree with you guys. The mods I've done have been a combination of what I could get my hands on at the time, what I can afford and what I wanted to do, never had a pre-defined route I wanted to go down, if I had it would have just changed all the time anyway.
Yeah he's a bit of a muppet, his car is currently on bricks as he swaps out all the Golf turbo parts for a mix of Audi TT and Leon bits before a remap.

Just been speaking to a mate of mine who's in the process of modding his Golf GTi, thinks he's a bit of a modding god. Anyway, he's had a dig at me this morning claiming there is some bible written commandment about the order you have to do mods in, claiming wheels and suspension should always come first, followed by bodywork then performance. He's the kind of guy that wont listen to reason, just thought i'd see what you fine folk though.

Hey Nick,
There are usually a couple sets on eBay if you have a look.
Good luck

If the other member is who I think it is, you did the right thing by locking the pasenger door......

Wondering if anyone is thinking of selling or has one for sale? Would prefer the Motordyne Plenum spacer or Kinetix Plenum....

Your pretty safe as long as you stay away from the main dealer "Evan Halshaws" although saying that they have sacked the head guy in Aberdeen and taken on a honcho from Audi and there is a bit of a "re-shuffle" going on getting rid of the driftwood.
So heres hoping the service will improve.
Also I tend to stay clear of Wallace Performance, it always gets mixed reviews usually to the negative. The one and only time I used them I asked them to solder a chip to an ECU as I'm not great at it....looked like they had done it with a hot axe, and had the cheek to try and charge me £50 for it, needless to say the connections were terrible and the ECU didn't work.

I'll echo whats been said about both. Evans have been useless from the minute I set out looking for a Zed and Wallace have always been a ridiculous price for anything i've asked quoted. 12 hours for a clutch and flywheel replacement springs to mind.
I've used Mackie Motors in Arbroath for anything only Nissan can do, exceptional service and a nice stretch of the legs in the car (needed keys reprogrammed, took them an hour and £40 for a job Evans Halshaw wanted the car for a day and £70 + vat for). Carden Motors have done MOT's, service and garage work on all cars I've had (2 Civics, import Prelude and the Z) and absolutely no complaints.

Nice one, i've just bought Pimm's 20mm's, looking good.
Any issues with ground clearance on our amazing local roads, truely a credit to Aberdeen City Council? Hmmmmm

Finally get Nissan's offset issue sorted!

Looking for a true induction solution for the future
So what would this be then ?
I did wonder myself.. knowing Dave it's gonna be something a little less ordinary
Leaf blower maybe?
Interested to know what this means aswell, always been slightly suspicious of the JWT being so close to hot air, probably just creating noise more than anything.

Folks, i know a lot of you on here are keen photographers, looking for a bit of buying advice on a new digital camera.
Its for the girlfriend, she's got Comet vouchers to spend and needs a new camera.
Budget of £200, has to be portable enough to fit in her handbag and look the part.
Here's the Comet camera's page to help. Sony gets my vote but shes a "higher megapixels the better" believer.

Thanks in advance

I remember that aswell, the only ones I've ever seen were on ebay and the offsets were way off but the seller is saying they fitted fine over Brembo's so could be a goer.
