  1. Anyone? Not sure mate. Take a guess like Beavis!
  2. Correction now a winner in the 3.30, well up with one bet to go in the 4.05 If I was betting, I'd follow you, not Beavis thats for sure! Bet you would follow me on the flat though I admit i dont have a clue on National Hunt racing though Just having a bet for a bit of fun I must admit I know more about flat racing too, although I usually do well on the Grand National for some reason. I had the winner 4 out of 5 years once...

+1 - even my wheels have their own wash mitt You're not going to want to hear that I use a piece of torn up old curtain to apply the SRP then are you? If you have any love for your car, buy a wash mitt and some microfibre clothes!! Is that the latest in Car-washing fashion?
  5. Mark, have you checked your contract for what your specific redundancy terms are in there. Your new employer might operate a statutory redundancy scheme, doubled as an incentive for you to leave, but if your original contract stated that you were eligible to a month's salary per year then make sure you're not missing out. I took voluntary redundancy (VR) from a firm I worked at a few years ago (It was Fujitsu Services, I don't mind saying who it was, they dealt with the situation properly) and they offered double your contracted rate if you took VR. This was to incentivise people to go of their own free will before they had to make people redundant out of necessity. I didn't get much as I'd only been there 2 years however I had secured another job just prior to the redundancy announcement and I was about to hand my notice in anyway, so the £5K I got was a bonus really! Some people who probably wouldn't have lost their jobs had to take VR because they received a helluva sum. One lady who'd been there 20 years was on a month per year contract (doubled for VR) and received over £80K, my boss who had been there 16 years received £130K!!!! (although I have since heard that he is on his third wife in 6 years, has blown all his money and is now driving HGVs across Europe )
  6. Beavis hasn't won anything yet.... mbs got a winner in the 13:05 and narrowly missed by about 10 lengths in the 14:20
  7. Shame the comment wasnt about you Stan! I love the attention mine brings too
  8. £210 for me. I don't suppose there are too many people on this site expecting anything less next time around... and we'll all be expecting it to say £440 this time next year

No thankyou! I enjoy the results but I have to be honest and say I find cleaning my car with a sponge and rinsing it with the hose a ball-ache. By the time I have finished the chamoising, drying and "Karate Kidding" I'm about done for a good 12 months!
  11. Not me! I like having a nice rare colour...
  12. Says Blitzsport on the sign... I wonder????
  13. You could consider an old Jaguar XJS with the 6.0 litre V12 block. Get one old enough and it will even qualify as a classic car and you'd pay no road tax whatsoever! Two fingers to Brown and Darling!

They're fairly clean on the outside... (see second pic where they are gleaming!) do you polish the inside too?

Its a grubby backbox/exhaust that I've got on my car

Yes, you're right, I should do. I was planning to last weekend but it wasn't quite the weather for it. What do you recommend for a sealant/wax?
  17. With a final salary pension? I had one of those in my last job, at a private firm. If they'd paid me better I might have considered staying as the pension would have been brilliant.
  18. I'm your typical victim of "quality" marketing campaigns.... I go into a shop and buy the most expensive version of whatever I'm after

Cheers guys, I spent quite a bit of time on the SRP process and even longer trying to get all the white bits out of the panel gaps and off the black plastic parts where I'd been a bit careless with the application! When I was applying it it was a bit overcast but as soon as the sun came out it was gleaming so I quickly grabbed the camera. One day I'll probably want to sell it so I thought I'd get some nice pics
  20. I might buy a second car for work so I don't put so many miles on my Zed... A 2000-plate Range Rover 4.6HSE should do nicely

Thanks Gixxer. I agree, mine turns loads of heads after a good wash. I think the Azure looks amazing when its clean and fairly ordinary covered in road muck and salt.

Hi, I gave my Zed a going over with some Autoglym SRP the other weekend and took some pics afterwards. My car is a fairly boggo GT-spec apart from the mesh grill that a previous owner added (and I've still been too lazy to take off and see if I prefer it with or without it!) and the "extra stubby" aerial that I stuck on. They look nice when they are clean don't they
  23. Also be mindful of the fact you're probably going to get some negative feedback now whatever the outcome...
  24. I've got this one: Only cost me 5 quid on ebay, its 5.5cm long but you can't pick anything other than Radio 1 and Classic FM up
  25. You need to get rid of those wheels Only kidding I know you've not long had them!
