  1. You'll be a typical United fan then....living no where near Manchester! I reckon if I lived in Lichfield I'd definitely travel north to watch football. Couldn't be bothered going to watch any midlands sides
  2. +1 Damn right! Expenses policies are there to be raped (thinking back to the one I had in my last job... Oh how I miss it )
  3. Not in this climate surely??? http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/
  4. ...it was tonight between the Spaniards and the French!!!! First it was the Spaniards, then the French, then the Spaniards, then the French again, it was like a Pyrenean Hokey Cokey!
  5. Nice one Funky. I remember my first fast car and how excited I was about picking it up too. The feeling doesn't go away either... I had it again when I got my Zed and I still love getting in it and giving it a blast
  6. If you want the truth, I'd love to be coming on the Wales meet but my family commitments have to come first in this situation I've sorted out a date just to make the most of it
  7. Its too late now Beavis I'm afraid Plus, I have arranged to go on a date when I'm in York on the Saturday night now too. With that in mind you geeks have got no chance!

Hmmmm spend the day with a load of people you met on the internet driving zed's around Wales or go to a christening 15 All Errr no! Game Set and Match I've no doubt which one is going to be more fun but its also definitely the most geeky too. At least I'll be able to drink beer...
  10. I know what you mean about the new TT Chris. They do one that is a mighty similar colour to our Azure Zeds....

  12. I'm dying to call Beavis a geek again but I built my own too
  13. Hyatt is good, thats where I usually stay. I'm not a fan of the Malmaison in Brum, it was pretty dirty when I last stayed there.
  14. Hmmm, I read the comments before I did the test, saw the bear but missed a pass because I wasn't paying attention
  15. My thoughts on the Megane... Its French, its highly tuned, it will break.
  16. MartinGT sold his on eBay for £720 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0207547537 (Martin if you read this, I was about to buy a hat to eat if they got to a grand! )
  17. Sorry to hear about that Digsy. I have a friend who lives in Wavertree and the houses in his street have no off site parking so unfortunately you have to park on the road. In the last 6 months, his A6 has been keyed, both wing mirrors have been kicked off, the aerial has been snapped off and its been broken in to. His wife's Polo has almost been deprived of a wing mirror. Its got that bad that he is looking to move house and I won't go and visit him in my Zed until he does! Seems to be particularly bad in Liverpool at the moment.... and thats before I get started on all the dog sh1t on the pavements!

    Small 4x4

If 4x4 really isn;t a must and if she wants relatively high spec in a newish car then she could look at the new Ford S-Max thing (I think thats the one). She could probably get a lot of toys in one for £18K and relatively low mileage. Could also look at the Merc B-Class. Both of these would seat her high up and will cost a lot less to run than the 4x4 equivalents.
  19. I had to do a "Driver Awareness" course for one of my employers a few years ago and the guy who hosted the session said that if you do 25,000 miles per year there is around a 1 in 10 chance you won't make it back one day. At 30,000 miles per annum he said this steps up to around 1 in 4. He said the biggest thing that affects it is tiredness. When we went out for a 2 hour drive he insisted that we stop at a little chef for a cuppa and a round of toast mid way through. It makes a lot of sense but its so damn impractical...
  20. Well done Beavis and Rob. I had a lucky escape, I didn't get up in time to put my bets on before I went to play golf on Saturday so I missed out betting, but that turned out to be a good thing!
  21. Great Pics Stew but 28.9mpg!!!! Clearly there must have been some homosexual driving going on?
