Hey Razza - are you 'Razza' on the mkiv supra.net? I'm Ozz but I don't post on there much anymore, too many idiots. I lurk on there most days though as its a busy forum. Good luck with the sale. I moved from a NA supra to the Zed, much prefer the Zed, better handling and more power. Won't match the TT for power but I bet it will rival the handling.

warranty ?..... mot mate but most garage dont sell 1k cars long day at work, I'm sure I read warranty not MOT. Ebay may be your best bet - nearly every car I've bought has been from ebay, from a £300 omega, £5k BMW to the Zed. Much prefer ebay to private advert sales as most list the faults, you don't get that with ads.

Missus just bough an 03 Megane, was only £1500 as it had no service history and 120k on her. Phoned the previous owner - taxi firm and it was serviced every 10k! Great value car for the money - 1.9Dci so performs well. I'd be amazed if you can get a 12 month warranty on a 1k car? 3 months most I would say without putting your hands in your pocket.

I didn't bother connecting up the TV arial. The DVD quality is good, as is the sound quality. Some people have paid as little as £45 for that unit, some £120, the average people pay is £80. The screen when playing music isn't the prettiest, no screensaver as far as I can tell. Still, for the money its fine.

Sorted! The arial needs power, either that or there is a hidden amp somewhere. There is a green cable next to the arial, I connected that to a live and the radio started working! I bought this linky only cheap but the sound and picture quality is great. Cheers for your help guys.

right the new stereo is uk and has the correct banding. Its showing an error that no arial connected... I've not used a pac-roem as I thought these were only for the BOSE? Has the arial got some kind of power connection that I'm missing maybe? Its possible the head unit is faulty - I'm going to dig out another stereo and see. All I've done is use the standard micra wiring adapter, plugged the two connectors from that into the Zed connectors (leaves one zed connector unused - perhaps thats the problem?). That adapter wouldn't fit my stereo so have connected the wires and have matched them correctly (i think). I'm thinking either the headunit is fecked or one wire controls power to the arial (or some kind of radio amp as mentioned???). Gonna see what wiring diagrams are about for the Zed... Edit - I'm sure its something to do with power to the arial or grounding, just done a search and someone mentioned the zed doesn't earth properly. Gonna try making a new earth - the radio switches off if I pull the arial out..!

Yeh sorry, its JDM. I had radio 2 (d'oh!) on the old nissan headunit. Didn't go above 90khz so was missing Radio 1! I had assumed the radio controlled the banding so replacing the radio meant full band on the new one (which supports all bands). Is that not correct?

I bought a double din DVD player, just a cheap one but thought it would be better than the radio thats in there. Anyway, fitted it, used a nissan wiring adapter though I had to join the wiring to the adapter for my stereo. The sound is great, CDs work, DVDs work but nothing on the radio. I've plugged in the black coaxial arial plug in - am I missing something obvious here? There was another plug, round with lots of pins - no idea what that is for. I have some blue cables left over...I'm sure I've used these for powered arials in the past. Got some orange ones left as well. Any ideas? Also noticed I don't have a sub, sounds good already but I might try and get one. Read somewhere on here that only certain models have one. Its years since I messed around with ICE - I assume I'm gonna need an amp as well? Feel such a noob!

Having looked at quite a few recently I'd say you're probably looking to advertise around the 14k mark and see how close you can get. Tax/fuel is a killer, I'm not 100% I'm keeping mine yet. I'm thinking I could get another supra, a motorbike and a clio for what I've got tied up in the Zed. £410 to tax a car is stupid.

That does sound nice, I don't think it can match the noise the Nur Spec makes though.

I love my job, its tough, we play hard and work very hard but get paid a lot (for Wales anyway). I'm an Infrastructure Supervisor for 3 UK sites, a Nickel Refinery (Wales), Precious Metals Refinery and Market office in Central London. Long hours, constantly on call (never out of the office with a Blackberry!). Trips to Canada occasionally and there is a good chance my territory will increase into Europe (unless their IT dudes are better!). I got out of IT a few years ago after some life altering stuff made me and my wife re-evaluate and we took 2 years out rennovating property. Missed the routine (and money) so went back into I.T. and got lucky with a superb job.

I just stuck the sound clip on and the missus asked if that was my Supra... my supra had the Nur spec exhaust. Best sounding exhaust you can get IMO. Very tempted and your in Wales but too much money for me. I suppose single would be different but could look very odd, I love the dual exhaust.

Thats dissapointing. Looks like a cross between a clio and a VXR. So rare to find an original car nowadays, they all look the same - except for the Zed!

Spooky, I literally just unboxed this model and within seconds am back on the net, wired and wireless. Never had a router so easy to use. Was a toss up between this one and a linksys but this one had better reviews - bought from ebuyer, 318 feedback and arrived within 2 days even though they said 7. Can't fault it so far! £38.
