  1. I've seen a few zeds out there, no idea on price. I'll probably be buying a big truck, if I go for a sports car then it will likely involve jumping on the mustang bandwagon
  2. I'm heading out to Toronto most likely, I work for a Canadian/Brazilian firm and my russian/canadian wife's family are in Toronto, just working through visa process now. Still undecided on car, he still hasn't serviced it and my car is running perfectly so I'm not sure - plus I hear what people are saying about mine will be easier to sell when I relocate. Such a shame, she's a nice motor and seems to be running well even with lack of care. I really do miss the zeds though, what I really want is another hi-rev but can't justify spend. I should never have part'ex'd mine for the 370z, I took a huge hit.
  3. +1 I'd maybe even go in Mike Brewer stylee with an offer of £4200 If he does decide to sell it privately (not to you), then he might struggle once he mentions it hasn't been serviced in 3 years! I bet he's run it on 95RON fuel too Correct..on servicing...he said problems more likely to occur when you're doing stuff on the car so why do it, and its been running fine. Shrug! On petrol...well it runs perfectly fine on 95RON. I know. I tried. Really. I am very tempted to rescue her, I loved that car. He's not a petrol head, loves the car but not the maintenance and doesn't take telling.
  4. I've been a member for years since owning an 05 JDM 350z. Loved the car, sold to my bro who still has it. Since then I moved to 330BMW, then 350z hi-rev bulge model, then almost new 370z and currently a 58 civic type R. I'm really missing RWD and talking to my bro he's toying with the idea of getting rid of his (my old car). we could probably swap with a few k my way so I'm very tempted. Its an 05 JDM in sunset with 60kmileage. When I sold him the car it was fully serviced (since UK anyway) and I gave him a spreadsheet with pictures and figures for all work/mods. Since then he hasn't even serviced it (about 3 years) but car just flew through MOT. I love the car and still miss it. the hi-rev I owned was a massive improvement but I can't spend on a new car as I'm relocating to Canada hopefully around 9 months time (visa). I kind of like the idea of rescuing this from him. He's valuing it at 5k, seems reasonable, mine is worth prob 7k+ (its mint, low mileage, in stunning red) so looking for 2k my way. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and will be surfing the forum again for a while Feel free to say if I'm crazy considering this, the CTR is a stunning car, especially the interior, but I really miss the large engine grunt and RWD feel.
  5. Its my advert, sold the car ages ago just never got round to shifting these. Bought from another member on here, condition is used, fins are fine but metalwork could be improved. Sounds amazing on the hi-rev. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z-Hi-Rev-Dual-Induction-kit-/261136784726?ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:GB:1123 I *think* its complete, I can't see anything else that would be needed to fit. I've not monitored prices for these for a while, I paid £200, I'll let the auction run as is and they go for what they go for
  6. An amazing start to the season. I must admit I'm a Plato fan though he does get annoying, always moaning about something. He's also super aggresive on track - I'd have thought he'd have taken it a little easier, wouldn't be good for the team budget if he'd have smashed the car up first outing. But results talk and you can't argue with what he's done. I love the replay of the 2011 series race where Neal took his colleague out on the last corner of the race, I remember shouting at the TV that day, amazing spectacle. I find this soooo much more entertaining than F1 and I'm hoping I can view this online from Toronto as I was planning on really following it this year. I love how they've simplified the field as well, all turbo'd cars. I think this will be a very interesting season.
  7. Sounds very similar to my old car but don't think it is. My car went to a dealer in Weston and didn't have a private plate. My car was very straight, zero issues. My 370z has been sold as well as I'm in negotiations for a new job in Toronto.
  8. Don't forget impact to your pension by moving.
  9. Its extremely expensive to get rid of people and difficult at the best of times, can't imagine how much harder it would be with the union control - walkouts leading to backlogs etc. Was it last year or year before they were striking over increased automation. Difficult to progress and modernise with that kind of resistance. Does seem expensive though I can't remember the last time I had to pay for a stamp - Banks for instance nearly always provide postage paid envelopes.
  10. What do people think of the UK banks at their current level? Ive just had my bonus so looking to pump a few K into more shares, I'm into LLOY, RBS, HSBC, BARC - the barc is 60% up but I think I may increase positions on all of them. Thomas Cook is an interesting one, I bought during their cash flow issues christmas as I they seem to be pretty solid and I think would rise with the spring holiday buying. They were at 66% up last week, now 48% and I'm considering buying more. Finally, other interesting ones I'm into -Aviva, currently 24% up, bought into these as they seem to pay amongst the highest dividend rates over the last few years so figured good long term. Also...Tesco was another purchase for long term, they are moving into american sector more (tho I guess they may set up a new division if it works out), they've dipped 20% on average price so could be good long term. I'm also into some of the ones mentioned on this thread Its not all positive, I have a non-ISA portfolio thats more speculative, oil, gas, exploration and I'm down 59% overall but at least all my increases are in the ISA I'd like one more company to look at though, med-high risk if anyone has ideas?
  11. My body is a temple so perhaps I could sell that? And when I say temple I mean its old, falling apart and rarely visited. I did look at exporting cars to australia once after my boss relocated out there. cars are massively more expensive, but the more we looked into it the more red tape we came across, plus tax issues. To someone with import/export experience it may be worth investigation (free idea, I've passed on this one). As a guide, my 330 coupe at the time was worth 8-9kGBP, in Oz it was coming up at 15-20k. Certain cars fetch a real premium, I think there was a huge margin on elise for instance.
  12. **Shock Update** Selling the car. I totally adore her, she is completely unmarked, I love the power, ride, the satnav is brilliant. She is without a doubt the best car I've ever owned. Due to some pretty major life stuff I've requested transfer to Toronto, and as soon as possible. I can't take the car with me so may as well sell whilst mileage is silly low and not stress about letting her go when my transfer goes through. I'll do a thread, PH, ebay at some point but if anyone is after a MINT 370 with less than 2k miles holler, you might get lucky. Pricewise, I think I paid £24k (I'll check) and I'll expect to get within £500 of this given condition of car and I don't actually need to rush right now. Im both gutted to sell and happy because of new start.
  13. Lovely colour, I too am a 3 zed man and totally in love with my 370z. I had to put normal petrol in her first, was all they had so took it very easy. Now its washed through and the mileage is creeping up to 900miles I'm opening her up - my god she feels much faster than even my hirev and the gearing is a big improvement. The MPG though - just don't put it on the screen or on the computer, ignorance is bliss. I'm moving house soon hopefully, closer to work, and seriously I'm considering the type of roads between house/work so its better for the car (warm up, fast bit ) now that is zed appreciation. It is however insanely impractical - I have dogs which I can't transport now, I'm paranoid about going anyway becuase she is immaculate. I think I may buy a 4x4 for dirty stuff, wrangler maybe. Btw - the wheels really do grow on you, liking mine more and more.

  15. He said he'd try 11k and go from there. She was an awesome car and I thought I'd miss her a lot but this new one is a different class and I love it. I still think the 350z is an awesome motor, and would happily of kept my old one but its rare I keep something more than a year and this was too good to turn down. I've already doubled the mileage on her. Pics to follow, bad ones at the moment off my phone, just need to store them somewhere. I regret rushing to partx mine as I should have pushed my bro more to have her at 9k and partx'd his 350z jdm (my other old one lol) instead. I should have offered mine at 9k on here too but hey, i have no patience.
