If Chorley Nissan sold houses the bricks would be from another builders house the roof from a Caravan, the windows from a ship and the garden like Steptoes back yard - but it would be nicely presented and spotlessly clean! Whys it not selling Martin? Bet the panels are from a 1979 Blubird cunningly reshaped to fit the zed and resprayed - probably supplied by Chorley Nissan!

thanks mate - sorry being dumb there! Naa its an '07 I am after but no rush its either house or car at the mo and I have just remortgaged, so belt is being tightened - but there's no harm in looking!!
-
Thats odd - Motorpoint (Burnley etc) seem to import most of their cars from Ireland so if it costs more there how do they sell here for cheaper ???

Well probably the hours I work and they dont let me out during daylight hours?- is yours a black one? ~You must have a cloaking device - trust me I would spot a Zed a mile off I am THAT SAD! I have seen one this morning and again tonight on the way home M56 - was that you matey? Saw a blue one on M56 again - probably our other North Wales regular? -
Yeah would be a nice little number on them but do we honestly think NMGB would give a damn - they would probably rather it was brushed under the proverbial carpet I expect. These bods can wiggle out of stuff cleaner than Gordon Brown and smell roses! Example - NMGB had released Xtrail in 05 in a groovy pale blue - I bought one (my lovely Rex was traded in - sniff) ok so they only must have made 4 in that colour - I needed a touch up paint can - 3 weeks of various phone calls to dealers and NMGB - but to no avail - they decided to quietly slip the colour out of production and not tell anybody and not make any touch up paint for after sales either - thats not good for a global company is it? General customer service was pants both from NMGB and all the dealers I phoned? Oh well we have all had this sort of experience. I really do think this country excells in this stuff dont you? My quest will continue there is a Zed with my name on it and I will find one at the right price just need to let the bills settle for a bit and save a few pennies first - thanks again folks great work as always!

Thought you lot were invading my works! St. Davids park area? Drove in then out again - funny seeing it drive precariously over the speed bumps!!

Contract is up for renewal soon and looked around for alternatives to my Moto - alwasys had Motos but quality had dipped big stylie so time to let go and enter the brave new world of Samsung G800? Looks quite slinky and fancy the 5 Megapixel camera - since I never have my proper camera with me when I need it but also it must make telephone calls? Battery life???? Any info gratefully received - thanks

Ok decided to phone them - and asked the question why an old bumper on the new model? That reg plate is genuine N55 SSN - its the bosses car apparently and it came with that bumper from the factory (it is the new 07 model) I mentioned that I was looking at a picture of the same car off their website with the new bumper and ..well silence - 'oh I dont know sir .... would you like to book a test drive?' I made my excuses and left - thanks forum dude and dudessess! Information is power! Avoid!

did some cursory web insurance quotes .......... full no claims fully comp etc etc Ragtop GT model 07 - 20K miles value say £27K - £1280 Same spec but Coupe £800!!! Wots all that about robbin bar-tenders! Phoning NFU tomorrow to see what they say - always good for me the past . Oh plus £400 tax - double Bar tenders oh and tyres every 100 miles ... Looks likes temp diversion to MR2 roadster again till I get some cash saved and watch the economy for next few months?
-
Cheers mate how come you've never mentioned that before to me?? Hey we have our own railway in Bury you know and other attractions!! http://east-lancs-rly.co.uk http://www.buryblackpuddings.co.uk/ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions- ... gland.html

YEs thats the new grey for 07 but and I noticed it at the time when I was there but you can notice it when I looked at the piccy with my mobbie the colour is defo off on shade on the bonnet for example. I dunno maybe there is a glut of old front Zed bumpers swiling around the networks? Like when Audi dealers stick top end TT alloys on boggo saloons to shift the metal - Nissan erm seem to be going backwards! Oh I might just soddin phone them tomorrow and just ask! Na I wont Martin wants his commission so I must buy the one up his neck of the woods - at least its the same parts as fitted from the factory?
-
I am not bothering - if they want to sell a car like that for £27K and probably not tell anyone then what else have they done? Its only because I am sad and have access to you guys/gals that I asked the question a common or garden punter probably would'nbt have been bothered? I will ask them only if I am passing by there again sometime - as we said earlier - its either had a bump and its a temp job or they ordered the wrong part ! I am not touching it! BUT?? If you could use that to knock a few more grand off and you had it checked out for accident damage etc etc .... They had 2x '06 Coupes there also - obviously Zeds are moving slowly compared to the roaring trade in Navaras they had going! Only dealers I have seen more than 1 Zed at any time?
-
Dare I mention Paul McCartney at this point? I'm sure he can afford a £27K Zed?
-
So Martin does that mean we can all stay at yours for the price of a bottle of vino and use it as a Zed Base for exploring the Lakes? Of course I would have to spend £27K in this instance!
-
ALDI - about £12 - weights about 50 tonnes though so you would end up with big muscles as well as a nice shine........ (Read into that as you will!)
-
From my point of view its Black , Night Blue then Twilight grey in that order ... unfortunately its beggars cant be choosers kinda thing.. down to the best car for the cash, but I have always had Black cars (even though they are dogs to keep clean!) Its Silver that I avoid most over subscribed colour since 2000! Fortunately the shape of the Zed lends itself well to really any colour although I dont like the fekin door handles spoils the flow of the body line - personal preference at the end of the day!
-
This morning about 07:10 - very nice and spangly clean .....although I did leave it for dead in my ditchfinder - think he was waiting for his tyres to warm up to avoid an early appointment with God!
-
Okay have you seen that Ad for Renault Megane Sport! Where the bods just lob the parts at the car - its a pure fluke that some actually fit in their correction location like the spark plugs and Wheel nuts! For goodness sakes no wonder they have such a bad rep - crickey now we know why Alfa dont show us how they build their cars?!!
-
WOWSERS!!! Fab pics Martin!! Just think in a few weeks time you will have all those lovely caravans to look forward to ..... joy Well if I am gonna get that Twilight Grey jobbie I better remember to avoid Outgate, Hawkshead where I bottomed my MR2 a few years ago - fab location though......
-
............. its that Bird Flu! My MR2 had red spots and I am certain my Rex had yellow spots - multicoloured spots of the wheel world unite! Halleuia brothers! Can you tell how sad I am remembering or even spotting this - they polished out easily enough, hang on my old Xtrail had blue spots thinking about it and they would'nt come out - a mid blue colour?
-
Young MARTIN!!! Sure your on commission to that place!!
-
Yeah agree with you there had back bumper done Warranty work - i.e paint peeling off - first of all the colour was wrong - my car is granite blue (grey/blue metallic) but the paint was green/grey??? So after a long struggle they re-did it looks ace now but everynow and again I find overspray marks or a bit of rough paint!! How hard can it be if you do this every day as your job! Happy polishing!
-
Ohh EBIZED just spotted your post while I was typing reply - recon your right - someone has duffed up the front bumper - infact the shade does'nt quite match which I thought - well this is Nissan paint anyway, my sodding bumper paint does'nt match up perfectly either! Anyway very long strides well past it , £27K is a lot of cash for this lump.
