Zed street cred - it may cost a fortune to tax but..........
stanski replied to stanski's topic in 350Z General
Yeah your right mate - its a license loser this one is'nt it! Hence 30mpg is the 130miles round motorway trip to work each day- its a boring trip but its made bearable in the Zed, like you say when you get in it every day its like day one -
Stew when you say Central heating controller - you mean the timer ?? They should not have touched anything there should they???? No flow charts for error analysis in the instructions for your boiler? They usually have a flow chart for you to follow for such events? I would be tempted to reset the electricity again by switching off the mains or at least the power to the controller? See if that does anything? I found this forum to be useful with my Baxi boiler recently? http://www.diynot.com/forums Hope this helps?

Following on from Mark W's Employment law question - I just wondered - are you all happy with your jobs? Ignore the fact that you have to do it for the mortgage and road tax on your Zed and kids and dogs etc - are you actually happy doing your job? It would be interesting to see? Stan

You mean you wear clothes in your Zed??? Oops! Should have I not mentioned that? Those heated seats can get a bit too hot in places

Nice little stories guys. I must say the 17 year old Chav girl at a bus stop on Sunday morning her eyes nearly popped out! Hey I'm in there .... he he he he No seriously since I have had this car from Saturday afternoon! I have had no usual angry motorway behaviour - people have let me out, people have had a good nosey at it even though its covered in road poo, I'm no poser - really honestly I love it for me (purely selfish) had the roof off all the way home tonight till I had to pull over at lights when the heavens opened near home - no one shouted smart-arse comments at me and when I signalled to be let out again into heavy slow traffic no worries at all? What is it about this car - ok it looks fast it goes fast its not your boy racer special like a Scoob it seems to cross the age and white van man driver spectrum? I really love this! You'd get scoffed at if it was a TT roadster? Stuff the expensive, tax, petrol and insurance !! Lets hope this behaviour continues - even my next door neighbour who normally only says hello now and again when she feels like it - is chatting to me like never before Long may it continue........... Have I mentioned the noise it makes - stuff the stereo I could just listen to that alone - the heated seats could cook eggs, the heater could boil cabbage - everything is just right (except the door rattle - think I have sussed that - spot of grease in the right location I am hoping will solve it?) One last thing average 30 mpg so far better than expected. -

Well she was rather attractive - give me time! Ha in my dreams! No the car gets the limelight not me Cant wait for the 3 days of sunshine If we have £1000 tax then we need to go French stylie and ACT! Don't grumble about it! -
Just parked up this morning and as I walked across my works car park I heard a girl talking to some bloke who just got out of their company beemer Hey thats a 350z roadster ...I really fancy one of those..... I just grinned to myself - Zeds is cool baby! Nice comments indeed

Blimey bet you have slippers when you get in ? Good news my handbrake cable warning light is now working properly and car is nice and dry again! I even managed to drop the roof today and go for a run out at lunch - yes it did not rain for 10 minutes!!
-
Better not to check Nixy - just we all need to start saving now!!
-
Well it seems to be working ...
-
I also work in IT - its just the way of life in this job I'm afraid Do as everyone has said - keep records, go and see a solicitor - an initial brief chat should be free, but regardless its worth spending the money. I would stick it out and get the cash - its going to be hard but be strong and have the last laugh I can probably guess which firm you are being taken over by but best not mention here - we have them also! - God help us alll! good luck Stan

Unfortunately this is the country we live in - what next Red colour cars will be banned or pay an excess as they absorb the heat from the sun more than say silver which reflects it back! Mad -
Oh Matron I like your shiny stubby! Gonna get something hopefully this weekend for mine - bob into the local car shop - so most people have Honda Stubbies??
-
Nixy he's got a BMW - let him trash it - better of with Zeds!! Most people are either messy or not messy generally - either in a car and house or one or the other! I always kept all my cars mint inside even 20 year old Vw beetles - way I look at it - you would'nt sit in a chair full or crap why drive in one? Each to their own I guess.........
-
Not biased in anyway what so ever but get Night Blue !! So you have to wax it after every wash hey its just 3 hours of your life every weekend!!
-
I'm sooo sorry its all my fault - ever since I got my Zed its rained non stop - sorry sorry sorry I should make a fortune in the Sahara desert for rain making provision!
-
Oh hang on bit harsh !! But I know what you mean - they dont take the care. Sadly I was speaking to a mate from my old company and talking about this gal we both worked with - and she said oh yes Stan I remember he always told me off for slamming his car door!!!(I had a new MR2 roadster then.) Nice to be remembered for the right reason! Paranoia is a wonderful thing.........
-
Ok now that I drive a Zed its so damn hard to spot others I am not in my lofty perch anymore -If that was you Squarehead I did'nt spot you until you flew past sorry? Also yesterday Grey coupe ****FUT on St Davids Park roundabout? Stuey you must still have your cloaking device on, still not seen your mean machine?
-
I know same here how come I can eat a twix in the car and not have any crumbs of chocolate stuck to the seat but other half managed to get it everywhere!! No more.......
-
Fumbled about this morning and managed to spill hot water down the handbrake and centre console area from my thermal mug - fortunately its just water not coffee - handbrake light was on and off for most of trip - hopefully it will dry out and be ok - also found the mug does'nt fit in the door cup holder too tall - oh well no food or drinks in the Zed then!
-
Everyday so far no choice - until I get a cheap van
-
Dont worry about it mate I completely agree with you - the coupe does look better - they should have made the roof a bit more rakish in keeping with the coupe not just a small camping cover! Having said that I love the way it folds away. I'm a hardened fresh air head I drop moi top as long as its not raining so yeah about 3 days in the year! Fifth gear is not the best , they should spend the time with more detailed reviews not just a coffee table whistle stop guide to everything! But its no way near as the worse so called car programme on the planet - vroom vroom - what the ...... its terrible
-
Yeah your right my roadsters rear end looks as large as Beyonces, but I dont care the car is marvelous! It redeems itself when the roof is down
-
Thanks for the aerial advice gentlemen
-
I will find out tomorrow if I am working that weekend and if so try to get the day off. I quite like those yellow reflectors I know the clear ones look ace though but happy at the mo - only mod I want to do soon is swap the aerial for a stubbie - easy enough to do ??? Not even looked under the rear wing (constant rain) are there any sheildings to remove etc? Thanks
