In terms of what you are looking to buy used and what you are looking to buy new, I can't fault your logic if by that you mean, an exhaust is an exhaust, not much to go wrong, so might as well save (i can take the scratches out no problem), same for springs, but a s/c can have knackered bearings/blades etc, then yeah

why pay £800 odd or whatever it is for a nismo, when the kakimoto is a really good exhaust, well respected jap make, just cos its 2nd hand on ebay and most of you dont like it doesnt mean it won't be spot on for my needs same with the eibach springs i'm after, theres some 2nd hand i'm buying, whats the point in buying it new? wouldnt buy a 2nd hand s/c kit though, too many issue with that.

either keep the rays for drifting or flog them and buy some scabby 17s, if they clear brembos. even better standard 200sx wheels in 16" but no chance of them clearing the front!

sure i've seen posts before that said they weren't available in 18s, oh well.

well when browsing posts, seems the options for nismo's was either genuine 19s, or rota drifts in 18" (uras copies but we won't go into that!), but i found these on us ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/350Z-NIS ... enameZWDVW didnt think they did nismo 18s?

i like my mates 200 we painted it ourselves, none of us painting before, well not a full car, in a small time for jae, because he smashed his old bumper drifting and we couldn't get a paint match for the original orange paint job. before. oops. bodged. painted neon orange, with new front. quite proud of it lol, until the sun got hold of it and faded it like a dynorod van

well from what i read about it, it all seems pretty straightforward. i cant figure out if the kit comes with different injectors or not though? i might invest in an oil cooler at the time too

ooo one guy said he just cable tied it up and you can reverse it, suppose you could with some coaxing with a heat gun maybe? as plastic returns to its natural shape.

to be honest...if you're going to do this to your bumper, would you not be as well just trimming that section off, so you dont have a dodgy screwed up part which gives an uneven line, which you can't return to standard anyway?

yeah, unless its a single exit or a dual box (one either side), it looks terrible not so good a mod if you end up changing exhausts though, or return the car to standard to sell.
