what about a brand new set, unused but with used good tyres (warranty replacements)?

my old clay is sticky, it sticks to me fingers, pain in the arse.

your rear pads will be sticking on slightly. usually it'll pull away with a great big thud. if the garage is locked, try leaving it in gear with the handbrake off or some wheel chocks (a brick or lump of wood lol).

h5 i just used a brand new clay bar and kneaded it for the higher panels and an old one for around the sills etc. thanks m13kyf.

the wheels took 4 hours alone! i've been doing it for ages in the garage i think the claying took me a good 5 hours i'm kinda picky.

hope this is the right section. finally finished the car, been polishing for an eternity. body was done with clay, G3, then 3M finnese-it, then autoglym EGP, then megs gold class paste wax. gonna try some p21s soon. glass was done with megs fast glass. wheels were done with srp, then the lips with 2400 paper for scratched areas, then 3600, then some abrasive metal paste then nuvite to finish. then egp basically i spent ages on it, it badly needed it! did the interior with some megs aloe leather conditioner and megs plastic and vinyl treatment. exhaust same as the wheel lips. before this was a brand new clay bar after doing one door! after, not enough daylight quite happy with it, my aim was just to bring it back up to a good standard so i can keep it that way

well after a bit of investigation only the front lip is plastic...the rest fibreglass, great. think i'll just get that greddy replica front.

well, nearly THREE weeks later, nissan phone me yesterday... "we went to use the pics from the camera and they're gone" THREE BLOODY WEEKS TO EVEN BOTHER THEIR ARSE TO EVEN LOOK AT THE ****IN PICTURES!!!!! not happy. apparently now i have to go back to the dealer to have pics retaken. i asked if i could do them and email them and initially they said no it has to be done by a warranty guy. phoned me back saying they're gonna check up and see if i can do it. i've just spent at least 20 hours on the car getting it spotless for coming back off my driving ban in march, not about to ruin it for their incompetence. really pi**ed off, still waiting on a return call.

fatlad i'd ask the dealer what exactly they done...they could've just hit it with g3 and it'll be like **** all twice. if its ok, srp, egp, then p21s, should be blingin

if its just painted, city tyres do a paintwork touch up and wheel touch up service, guy showed me what he does etc, seemed to know what he was doing. maybe worth a shot as its local.

By someone reputable? It doesnt really matter of the cost. its the fit. You can get a cheaper lip but then spend the money you've saved in paying a body shop to make it fit properly! Or get a good one to start with and they dont have to do anything. For that price I'm expecting it to be a good fit All depends on who its from and if you trust them I'm sure Adam offered me a proper Nismo US lip add on for about that price, give him, big phil and the other traders a shout and see what they can do. i more than trust the guy, i nearly bought his companys supra demo car if it really doesnt fit i'll give it back. will be doing the prep and paint myself so it doesnt really matter that much about fit, as long as it fits eventually. i understand adam could get me a genuine front lip, but for the same price as just a nismo front i can have the full kit.

been offered a nismo lip kit, well a replica, made in proper plastic, for around £500...
